Chapter 10

Chapter 10:

I woke up with a wet nose in my face. "Lily! Why did you wake me up so early?", looking up at my dog. Then I looked at the clock it said 5:25 AM. Oh crap! I need to be at the car in FIVE minutes. Gibbs needs to get me to the airport by six so that we can catch our flight to New York City at eight.

I jump out of bed, and threw some clothes on, grabbed my suitcase and Lily's leash. Yes she is coming with me to New York City, before running out the door with a minute to spare.

Gibbs was waiting at the car for me with a cup of Starbucks coffee. Also McGee, DiNozzo, Ziva, and Abby were at the car. That's weird I didn't know that Abby was coming. Ziva and Abby kept on sharing excited glances with had me thinking that they were up to something. I threw my stuff into the trunk and got into the car.

I looked at my phone and saw that Noah texted me.

NOAH: Hey, good luck with ur interview.

ME: Thnx and thnx for sticking up 4 me yesterday.

NOAH: No problem. Gtg have 2 get ready 4 school. Bye.

ME: Bye.

I think I like Noah. Is that bad? Does he like me?

Tony snapped me back to reality when he waved his hand in front of my face, "Earth to Kate."

"What?" I snapped at him.

"We are here," he said taken back at my moody attitude.

Wow that was fast, I thought. The airport that we are leaving from is Ronald Reagan Washington national airport. We got through security pretty quickly. The security guards figured out pretty fast that you don't mess with Gibbs. We got onto our airplane with 30 minutes to spare. We were riding first class of course. Lily was sitting on my lap and Ziva and Abby were on either side of me.

The plane ride took about 3 hours. We got off the Plane with our luggage when I smelt something funny. I asked Gibbs,"What is that smell?"

Gibbs' face paled,"It's gas. There must be a leak. The plane could explode, we need to get out of here now," he ordered.

We all run off the plane, but then I realized Lily wasn't with me. I turned around and started running back to the plane. I heard Gibbs yell at me to get back, but I ignored him. I reached the plane and found Lily. I grabbed her leash, and ran out of the plane. I heard someone shout, "Watch out!"

At that I jumped on top of Lily, and that is the last thing I remembered before darkness engulfed me.
