CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
After we all simmered down from the amazing news, we finished eating our dinner, talking about my concert, Cody's video, Jen's modeling, and more. For some reason I always had fun with Cody's family. It felt like I belonged with them!
At around 7:30 we were all done eating and Cody, Alli, Jen, and I went back to my house for a little. Alli was going to spend the night, but Cody was leaving at 10:30.
On the car ride there I had to explain to Cody and Alli that Monica and I are fine now, and that they didn't have to ignore her.
"I GOT CHILLLLLLLLLLLLLS! THEY'RE MULTIPLYIN! AND I'M LOOOOOOOOOOSIN' CONTROL!" We all burst out singing. By "all" I mean Cody, Alli, Jen, Monica, Katelyn, Jesse, Drew, Casey and me. Obviously, we decided to watch Grease. Classic family movie!
Drew had his arm around Casey. Aw! Monica, Jesse, and Alli were on one couch, Jen, and Katelyn on another, and Cody and I on the last one. I had my legs stretched out across the couch, and my head resting on Cody's chest, just how I like it! I could hear his heartbeat in my ear, which usually creeps me out when I hear other people's, but I was fine when it was Cody's.
We watched the rest of the movie and it ended at about 10:00. Brad would be here for Cody in half an hour. Sigh.
"I'm glad you're opening for me tomorrow!" I say excitedly to Cody.
"I'm glad I get to open for you! You're going to have so much fun! Being on stage is like the best feeling in the whole wide world!" He said laying his head back and closing his eyes.
"Hmm...actually no, it isn't. This is!" I sat up and kissed him gently.
"That was the cheesiest, yet cutest thing ever Miss.Ryan!" He laughed.
"Mission. Accomplished!"
"AWWWWWW!" Two girly voices said in unison, making me jump 100 feet in the air. I forgot Jen and Alli were still in the room. Thank God no one else was though.
At 10:30 Brad came and we all said goodbye to Cody, mine naturally being longer than everyone else's.
Alli, Jen, and I went upstairs to on our pj's and we talked about random girl things. We also did our nails and gave each other makeovers. Sterotypical girl sleepover. At around 2:30 AM we went off to bed. I had an exciting day ahead of me!
"WAKE UP!" Alli and Jen both screamed in my ear. I screamed and they laughed at the look on my face.
"What was that for?!" I say throwing pillows at them both.
"It's 11:30. We've been awake since 10:00 and wanted you to join us." Alli said laughing.
I sighed and got out of bed and grabbed some clothes to change into. I threw them on the bathroom floor and started the water.
"I'm taking a shower!" I yelled out to them.
"Copy that Captain Obvious!" Jen yelled back sarcastically. I heard Alli laugh and I did too. My friends are so strange.
In about 20 minutes I was out of the shower and dressed waiting for my hair to dry. I was wearing a blue sleeveless shirt with a white cardigan over it with jean shorts.
I came back into my room and saw that Alli and Jen were already dressed as well, and updating their Twitters on their laptops.
"You guys hungry?" I ask them.
"Starving!" Alli said. Jen nodded in agreement so we went to the kitchen and made sandwiches.
After watching tv and doing random stuff, before we knew it, it was 2:00 and Tracy was there to pick us up. I said goodbye to everyone and they said they would be seeing me at the concert.
We picked Cody up along the way and we were at the concert place by 2:30. I was pulled away into my dressing room and put on a black off the shoulder top with "LOVE" written across it in big, bejweled letters that were rainbow colors with bright green skinny jeans and a silver belt. I slipped on a pair of black Patry's. I quickly straightened my hair and decided that I looked fine. I stepped out of my dressing room and saw Alli and Jen waving me over.
"Wow you look awesome!" Jen said to me with wide eyes.
"Thanks girl!"
Cody came out of his dressing room wearing a white v-neck with grey skinny jeans. He had on black converse too. He looked so simple, but it worked for him.
"Well, well, well, don't we look goooood?" Cody said jokingly as he led me over to a full body mirror.
"Yes, if I do say so myself!" I laughed and kissed his cheek.
"Ryan, can I do your makeup?!" Alli asked me eagerly.
"Sure!" I replied and she led me back to my dressing room. Jen followed, but Cody stayed behind to do a quick sound check. When he was done, I would be up. We had until 4:00 to get situated, and it was already 3:00!
Alli put on some black eyeliner, light gray and some green eyeshadow, and black mascara. I didn't look half bad! I thanked her and went back out to do my sound check. Everything was good and it was now 3:20 and we had one last chance to run through everything. Cody was off to the side doing his thing. He was going to sing On My Mind and All day. I was starting off with Liar Liar, then Hidden, Don't Let Me Fall, Pretty Please, Changes For Good, Promise Me, and then finally the song Cody and I recorded together to end on a good note.
We got through everything by 4:10 and had time to relax before getting mobbed by fans at the meet and greet. We all were just goofing off being our regular selves.
"Alright, time to let them in!" Tracy called to us. Cody stood on the left side of the room, I stood on the right.
Somehow they managed to keep all the fans in an organized line for Cody and I. I made a mental note to thank Tracy for that later!
The first fan that came up to me was about 9 years old with blonde hair. She had the cutest smile ever and she hugged me like 8 times! There were a lot of guys too, and girls my age and even older. I had no idea I had such a wide range of fans! After they saw me, most of them got back in line to see Cody too, and vice versa. At around 5:15 everyone was gone and it was 15 minutes until show time. That's when the butterflies and nerves REALLY started kicking in.
Cody must have sensed that I was nervous becuase he pulled me into a hug and said "Don't worry Ry, your fans adore you! They wouldn't be out here tonight if they didn't. No matter what happens out there, they won't judge! Just have funnnnn!" He dragged out the last 'n' and I laughed.
"AND NOW GIVE IT UP FOR CODY. SIMPSONNNNNNNNNNN!" The man announcing yelled into the microphone.
"Good luck loser!" I winked at him and he kissed me before he went onstage.
"For good luck!"
I laughed and he went on stage. I heard deafening screams of thousands of people before he even said one word!
The music of On My Mind started playing and the crowd went nuts. He finished that and moved on to All Day.
"And now it's time for the most beautiful, talented, crazy girl you will ever meet! SHOW SOME LOVE FOR RYAN SARNELLI!!!!" He screamed into the microphone over the fans.
I walked onstage, my legs feeling like jello. He handed me the mic and hugged me tightly before he went offstage. I smiled and said "Hey guys! How you doing tonight?!"
Everyone screamed and the music of Liar Liar began playing.
