A lullaby...

I sat by the pool watching the others dive in and play on blow up whales and dolphins as I edited my new Sugg Sunday Special. I was lost in a video that a fan made of me and Jess when someone tapped me on my shoulder.
"Joe!" Someone shouted with a strong Irish accent.
"Jonathan! Hey man!" I said turing around to face him. Although all I wanted to do was go and hide in a dark dark place alone, I knew I had to act happy so I wouldn't ruin anyone's holiday.
"CHOE!" A small girl wearing a blue bow to match her blue shorts ran up to me.
"Emilia SacconeJoly! You've grown so much!" I said picking her up and spinning her around.

In the last few hours I decided to try and have some fun. I played with Eduardo and Emilia, I caught up with all my friends and I even learnt how to back dive into the pool with Louis!
"Joe man I think your doing so well on hiding your feelings just so they can have a great holiday." Caspar says while eating a pepperoni pizza with stuffed crust.
"Ha yeah I guess I just don't want to put a downfall on everyone just because of my mistake." I whisper trying not to picture that day.
"Joe this wasn't your fault, she just didn't let you explain what happened." Louise says coming to sit on a sun bed next to me. I was now in a Laspar sandwich.
"No if I didn't even feel sorry for Kalel then why did I go on a date with her? Felix was right, he knew that she never looked at Anthony the same way Marzia looked at Pewds."
I knew I should never have even spoken to Kalel, I knew I was happy with Jess and although I had only known her for a few days before that happened, I knew something good between us would happen. But I guess it's too late now.
--------------JESSICA'S POV------------
Bright light.
And then darkness. Darkness like you've woken up in the middle of the night and you can't see anything but darkness. I could hear beeping like a hospital heart rate monitor. Wheels squeaking on clean floor. Pens scribbling, birds squawking, people talking, but no sight of anything or anyone. I try screaming. Screaming for my mum, for Joe, for Zoe even for nurses or doctors. Just darkness. It's like I'm in a nightmare that I can't wake up from. Hours go by but no sign of sight.

"Has there been any improvement?" Someone asks. Although I can't see them, I know who they are.
"I'm afraid not Mr Deyes. And I'm so awfully sorry to tell you this but, she hasn't improved at all, we need this life support machine. We just can't take any risk that she won't be here in a week when we could have saved someone with a ah a better chance."
"Um excuse me? A better chance? Ha yeah okay a better chance. Maybe she would have a better chance if you keep her on for one more week like your supposed to!" Joe shouts. How I just want to tell him I'm here, how I would love to just see him, one last time.
"I'm so sorry Mr Sugg and I'm sorry for you all. She will unfortunately be taken off life support tonight. Please say your goodbyes."
----------------JOE'S POV------------
"Please say your goodbyes."
And that's when it hit me. It hit me that I'll never be able to hear her voice or see her eyes sparkle again. I drop to the floor and just flood into a pile of tears. Hopeless. That's how I feel. Hopeless.
"Joe, every second you spend crying, is a second you waste of seeing her." Zoe says almost about to collapse into tears herself.
"Humph. Your right." I say wiping a tear that was escaping my eyes.
I hold her cold lifeless hand and rest my head beside her.
"Sing something to her. Something she likes." Tanya says while holding her right hand.
•••••••••••••••FLASHBACK••••••••••••
"Sing something to me." Jess says while laying her head down on my shoulder.
"Like what?" I ask holding her hand.
"Anything."
"She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes, heeee haaaa."
"Not that one!" She says giggling. "Sing me something sweet."

" You can't walk the streets at night your way to short to get on this ride, no I'm not no I'm not, they tryna tell me I gotta be home when the street lights glow? You can't watch your TV show I will watch what I wanna watch no won't listen to you, do what I wanna do. And I will walk this road ahead one hundred miles on my hands, do I need to show you? Guess I gotta show you. And if you don't believe me now, I'll flip this whole world upside down, do I need to show you? Guess I gotta show you."

"Something she likes."
"You can't walk the streets at night, your way to short to get on this ride, no I'm not no I'm not....."
"That was so sweet Joe. I'm sure Jess would've loved it." Tanya said.
I moved out the way as the others could say their goodbyes to Jess.
Soon it was my turn to say goodbye.
I squeeze Jess's hand softly as a tear rolls down my cheeks and lands on her hand.
"Goodbye Jess." I say kissing her hand.
I slowly let go of her hand when I feel the softest squeeze ever. I spin around staring into Jess's eyes.
"Hello Joe."
