Chapter 2

"He is slogging. He is wasting a very important time of his life. He doesn't know what to do and what not to."

Peter's eyes were sad. Just like they have been for the past decade. "I don't know what to do. I spoke to the principal. I am here to ask a favour from you Neveah."

"Yup, sure."

"I want you to tutor Easton. If there is one person he will listen to, I feel it is you."

Peter's eyes were so sad and vulnerable that I had no choice but to agree with him.

"I'll try but no promises." Peter just nodded.

What have I gotten myself into?

So I had to get Easton interested in his studies. Principal sir told me that he had already informed the teachers. The plan was set. Now it was time to put it in motion.

This was going to be very difficult. We had decided that I would start helping him in Chemistry since that was his worst. The Chemistry teacher would pair me with him for a project. 

I had spent most of the last period with Peter so I didn't bother going to class for the last period only for the last five minutes, that would be too nerdy, even for me!
I was goona go home instead of waiting in the library as usual.

The scene in the parking lot shocked me. Mellisa was crying her heart out while Alden was stading next to her staring at her in disgust. His jocks friends surrounded them staring at Mellisa in.... pity?? The girl was crying and none of those d*cks were consoling her. What the?

"Mellisa?"

As soon as she saw me, she came running in my arms crying in my shoulder. 

"Take the bitch with her." Alden looked hurt, angry and pained all in one. What was happening here? Mellisa was defenitely not a girl to cry over a guy. Moreover, Alden looked like he would break anyone who went in front of him.

"Mellisa what hapened?"

"Take me away." She sounded so heartbroken. All my life and I've never seen her so sad! 

"Alright, I'll take you." She was my ex-bff afterall.

"Die bitch," Alden spat out. He was now pissing me off. There was no damn connection between them. 

"F*ck off Alden." 

"Stay out of this Huber, you don't know a damn thing." Alden sounded even more angry at my interruption. 

"Forget it Nev." Mellisa was puling me to my car. 

"Both freaks together. You both deserve no one except each other." He muttered something else too but it was too low for me hearing. Probably more curse words. I wanted to kill him but ended up laughing.

"You still want Mellisa Alden. Maybe she is a freak, but then she is hot. As for me, I have more brains that your team combined together. You may call me a nerd, I call it smart. I'll remeber this statement when you fail this year along with the your remaning friends. To me you are a failure. A damn big one."

I dragged Mell without waiting  for his reply. Just because they look good and can run like a dog behind a ball doesn't mean that they are Gods.

I was leaving the lot when I saw Easton holding Alden back. Brainless idiots!

I was driving at a very high speed barely following the limits, key word barely. What happened was confusing and I needed to clear my mind. Luckily Ma was at work or I would have to explian where I barely knew  anything.

I made her sit on the sofa and I brought things to eat and coke. 

"Spill."

The next statement had me spilling the coke from my mouth on her shirt.

"I love Alden, so much."
