Not only is my morning going bad, but terrible. Ill never make it to school on time. I called a cab and he appeared at my house in less then five minutes.

I gave him the name of my destination and appeared at school with ten minutes left till the bell, the man was practically going 75 mph on a 45 mph road. I gave him the correct change and hopped out and ran up to the school.

I had a weird feeling that I was being watched. I stopped running and quickly looked around. But I saw nothing. I slowed my pace and walked slowly up to the school doors. I turned around one last time before walking in.

As I turned around my glance fell toward the woods across the street. I saw a tall figure, I swear. I blinked and the school bell rang right that second, and I looked back and the figure was gone.

"There you are! We've been looking everywhere! You're never late now c'mon or we will be late."

I heard a familiar voice scream as I was dragged into the crowded hallways. I looked up at the tight grip on my hand, then toward the face. It was my friend Jake. He had his hand gripped tightly on my wrist and he was dragging me to class. I noticed he had my books along with his in his free arm.

I used my free hand to tug on his sleeve causing him to stop. He turned around and his glare was hard. He was mad. I looked at my hand and back at him and he turned loose as we stood in front of the classroom. I had a red mark on my wrist where his hand was.

I looked back up at him, not saying a word, and pushed past him as his eyes gave me a soft sorry look. He came after me and I ignored him.

"Look I'm really sorry, I didn't notice. Please forgive me. I really didn't mean to... I've gone through a lot this morning, taking care of Lucy and Trigger. I had to change clothes about five times this morning and it's just been so frustrating."

He told me as we took our seats, he placed my books on my desk in front of me.

The second bell rang and I didn't say a word. I wasn't angry at Jake, or his dogs that made him angry in the first place, I was just extremely curious about the figure in the woods. I can't figure out if I was imagining it or not. I couldn't have been.

It was too real to imagine. I had to know what it was. I hate my curiosity. I decided, after the world war ended in my head, that I would just have to figure it out myself.

I got through the rest of the day with Jake apologising, me not saying a word, but by letting him know it was okay by giving him a hug, some 'cool' kids at school talking crap, me ignoring them, and all day feeling as if I was being watched.
