He Came to Me in My Dreams...

Chapter 1

He always visited her dreams for as long as Alexis could remember. The scenery changed every night but he remained the same. To others, having a recurring dream with the same man over and over again every night would seem crazy, almost maniacal but to her they were her anchor to her already unstable lifestyle.

This time wasn't any different. Looking around her surroundings, Alexis saw that she was on a beach front with sand expanding out for miles around her, and it was just before sunset. The sun was so low that it almost touched the water and gave the whole scene an exquisite orange-red glow. She looked down and saw she was dressed in a deep blue bikini with a thick gold outline, covering the bottom half was the matching briefs and a thin, long translucent skirt with an Aztec design. The colours matched well with her dark complexion and she silently thanked/cursed whoever thought of such a beautiful but revealing outfit. She was standing so close to the beach front that each time the waves came in they soaked her feet and ankles and she wrinkled her toes at the new-found wetness.

She wasn't sure what it was but she could feel as if someone was watching her so intently they could bore holes into the back of her head. She spun round quickly as if to catch the person off guard but none was there. Confusion ran across her features until she spotted a small beach house some in the distance. If was quite a bit away not so much that she could make out the striking male figure facing her standing on the patio. She gave a wistful sigh.

Levi

The man who haunted her dreams since she was 5. The one she had abandoned all men for. The one she was in love with.

And the only one she couldn't have.

What she wouldn't give for just one lovers embrace from him, or better yet that he was real so that she could touch him when she woke up. It hurt that he disappeared every time she woke up, added with the dull pain that he never really saw her as anything but a friend. She had to blame it on the fact that she had known him since she was five and he probably still saw her as the small rambunctious child who believed in Santa Claus.

As she made her way towards him she felt a surge of happiness as well as emptiness inside of her, deep down she knew it was hopeless falling in love with a figment of her imagination but he had managed to have gotten a hold on her heart and it was difficult to let go.

It was like he had a hold of an invisible rope tied around her waist and was pulling her towards him always, like they were connected. A part of Alexis wanted to deny the pull in the hopes of getting away but when she got a closer look at him she knew that it was too late to pull back now.

The closer she got the more defined Levi body became, the first thing she noticed was his tribal tattoo that covered his left shoulder and just above his elbow. She only noticed because Levi hadn't buttoned up his shirt so it gave her a wonderful view of his torso. His flat, 6-pack defined torso. He was so muscular and defined and then there was the thin trail of black curls that started just beneath his belly button and trailed downwards and beneath his cargo shorts.

She trail her gaze up his body towards his wide shoulders they seemed to go on forever and gave him a very solid looking build along with the thick biceps that seem to explode from the short sleeved shirt. High-defined cheek bones, thick luscious lips and short thick curly locks that were short at the sides but cascaded at the front over bright emerald eyes.

Eyes that seemed to be watching her right now.

Alexis gave an involuntary shudder as he watched her make her way towards him. Everything about Levi oozed power and domination and it took everything in her not to run the last few steps towards him and jump his bones.

As she finally reached towards the beach house he came down the last few steps to engulf her in a bone crushing hug.

"Alexis, how have you been?" his voice was deep and so close to her ear that his breath tickled her skin.
