Yet, instead I settled for, "Ok. See you later, Selena." I smiled bitterly as she went back inside.

Feeling frustrated with myself, I placed my hand to my head.

This is just getting worse and worse...

*Jake POV*

Keeping an eye on Trevor, I made my way to one of the nearby tables containing finger foods. There were so many things to choose from.

Dang, I wish I had a bigger plate! I thought hungrily.

Tyler came up next to me not long after and began filling his plate as well.

"Man, if only these plates were bigger," he commented.

I laughed in response, "That's funny! I was just thinking the same thing."

"Right? I need more room for all this food!" He chuckled.

I looked back to Trevor, making sure he hadn't tried to sneak off. Tyler however, followed my gaze.

"Who is that kid, anyway?" Tyler questioned.

"Just some kid who can't seem to leave Selena alone. He's got it in his head that he actually has a chance and won't stop stalking her."

"Ah, ok. That's interesting."

"Yeah it is," I replied while grabbing a mini sandwich.

"I used to know a girl like that. Only, she was ten times creepier. She some how got my cellphone number and left me the most disturbing voice mails ever."

I looked up, but Tyler seemed to already know what I was thinking.

"Human girl."

"Ah, that makes sense." It made sense, not because she was a human girl, but humans, for some reason, can be strangely attracted to us as werewolves. Not quite sure why that is, but it can get extreme sometimes.

Eating food all along the way, I made my way back to one of the tables in the house. From where I was sitting, I could see Colt and Levi off to a corner of the room talking and drinking. Having sensitive hearing, I was able to hear some of their conversation.

"So, why did you invite the humans?" Levi genuinely asked.

"Well, there's this girl named Allison Collins..."

"Bro, what did I tell you about messing with the humans?"

"No, man. It's not like that. It's just that, I kinda like her. I'm not sure if she is my mate or anything, but I just wanted to get to know her. That's all."

'Allison? Oh, this is going to be good!' I thought mischievously.

I made my way towards Colt and Levi.

"So, you like Allison?" I lightly teased Colt.

"Hey! Come on man!" Colt complained as his brother Levi laughed along with me.

"How you doing, man?" I smiled as he gave me a "bro hug".

"I was fine 'til you joined the group. Now, I'll never escape the teasing!" Colt commented lightly.

"Oh, come on. It's because we love you." Levi said with mock compassion.

"Whatever. You guys suck." he commented in response to my and Levi's laughter.

After our laughter had subsided, I changed the topic, "Anyway, It's a great party, man. I'm really enjoying it."

"Really? Good, I'm glad. Bout to go back out there and dance some more in a minute. Wanted to do some line dances soon."
