“You,” he said smiling

“Why,” I asked crossing my arms and faking a pout

“You’re being so cute,” He said and leaned over to kiss me

I let him and I felt warmth rush through me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he moved closer. As he moved closer his elbow hit the horn making the car honk. We both pulled apart quickly jumping up. I looked around wide eyed as he started to laugh.

“You should see your face,” He said in between laughs and I punched his arm lightly

“Shut up,” I mumbled becoming a bright red tomato

He chuckled and shook his head as he drove down the street. I reached over and turned on the radio as Looking Up by Paramore started to play and I smiled. My foot tapped to the music and Warren seemed to think it as funny.

“Would you stop laughing at me,” I asked smiling

“Are you sure you seem to like me poking fun at you,” He said

“Oh shush,” I said and he turned off the music growing serious

“Hey that was a good song,” I said making a face

“Skye I need to know something,” He said looking at me then back to the road no longer laughing.

I looked at him confused and a bit worried, “What do you need to know?” I asked

“Tell me about you being sick,” He asked and I looked away

“I was thirteen when it first started, I stared to get dizzy, weak, and I wasn’t able to do much. At first the doctor thought I was anorexic or bulimic because I was so skinny, but I proved them wrong. Then they thought it was iron deficiency, but the blood tests said I have enough iron. They went on with heart disease, cancer, anything they could think of, nothing. They then found out that my lungs where moving together slowly but at a noticeable rate. So they did surgery thought they fixed it, it started up again about three months later. They’ve tried different surgeries and medicines, they never worked. So recently they gave up and gave me a deadline,” I said not looking up, I could tell Warren was struggling to process the information.

“Where’s your parents,” He asked worry in his voice

“Left once I was fifteen got tired taking care of me. They still pay the medical bills and bills dealing with the house. They put money in my account so I can survive and do nothing else.” I said. I chanced a look at Warren seeing him staring straight at the road gripping onto the steering wheel tightly.

“Are you okay,” I asked placing a hand on his shoulder and he relaxed slightly

“They shouldn’t have left,” He said and pulled into the parking lot

We sat there for a while neither of us moving. He leaned over and kissed me gently. The warm sparks flew until he moved away. Warren got out and walked over to my door opening it for me. I got out and grabbed my bag and warren pulled me close as soon as the door closed. He looked down at me with his contagious smile. I stood on my toes and kissed him lightly.

I could feel people watching us and I turned to look. Standing not far away was Pepper and a couple other sluts making their way towards us. I wrapped my arms around him and he looked over growling

“Warren baby, what are you doing,” Pepper asked crossing her arms making her chest push up

“Holding my girl,” He said his voice sounding strong and protective

“Well come get me I’m right here,” She said holding her arms out

“You are not my girl,” He said holding me close
