Ashton Fletcher Irwin (born July 7, 1994), is the drummer and vocalist of 5 Seconds of Summer. He was raised with a sister named Lauren and a brother named Harry. His mother, Anne Marie, separated from his father. He had a troubled childhood, and because of that, he can relate to issues caused by bullying and low self-esteem. Ashton has a dark past that included cutting his wrists. He has since stopped the cutting, much to his fans relief, and wears many bracelets to hide the scars. He now draws butterflies on the scars of his fans to show them they are beautiful.
Celebrities deal with rude Twitter trending topics all the time, but when the hashtag popped up a few weeks ago, everyone was understandably disgusted. While that phrase is NEVER okay to say to anyone, the 5SOS guy has actually (he apparently stopped for his fans), and encouraging him to start again just takes 'sick' to a whole new level.
