I tussle with my hair as if trying to impress someone and give up and just brush it down. My hair is pretty long, dark brown, and naturally curly. I peer into the mirror looking at the silhouette before me, the shape of a goddess and the breast and butt of a new stripper. Curse Laylonie for giving me these hoeish traits.
Ever since her and my father got these new traveling jobs they've neglected to give me the attention I need. What they never fail to do together is text me good morning and good night, but my father Rick checks up on me more often then her.
He calls, something she doesn't take the time out to ever do. This may be the reason I'm closer to him and on the edge of hating her. Its like she doesn't have a daughter and my father gave birth to me out of his own womb. I just wish they would quit the jobs and find something here in Washington state, it would just make my life so less complicated.
I put the thought aside and slip on my fitted backless black dress. Its was one of my favorite things in my closet, I'm sure I only like it because its the one thing that attaches me to Laylonie. She brought it for me on my 17th birthday and I've only wore it once and that was at a dinner her and my father hosted here at the house.
This house ! Its too much!
There is absolutely no reason to have 8 rooms and only me and Teresa actually stay here. Teresa's the house keeper, but I never look at her as that. She's way more then that. She's been taking care of me since I've been born so really you could call her my mom. She has the second best room in the house, well really I like hers better but were not gonna argue about that.
I sometimes wonder if my dad ever had an affair with her while mom was off on business because she's the prettiest human being I've seen thus far. Maybe my mom is off trying to get like her, getting some plastic surgery or something who knows. Well anyways about their room. Sure they have a room in this house but, it tells you something when your own child has the biggest room.
They feel sorry.
I store away that thought too and just put my Gucci red bottoms on. Its a casual dinner so I figured I'd look the best.. Well I hope. I trail my lips with red lipstick and apply lots of mascara to make the hazel in my eyes pop and I'm ready to go.
I grab my clutch and phone I make my way down the steps. Before I'm even at the bottom the doorbell rings. For some reason I pause as if it were a monster but I just shake it off and walk to the door.
"Who could this possibly be.." I swing the door open and my heart drops into my shoes. It was Jacob. How could he have possibly known where I stay?
"You look... Amazing Layla. Are you ready to go?" He stands in awe.
I look at him lost for words, he's so dressed up.. Like one of those sexy stripper role play spy's that come to the hotel room door and makes your bachelorette party a real bachelorette party.
Okay at this point I'm getting out of hand! And first of all how the fuck did he find out where I live?
"How did you ..?" I manage to say this but I'm interrupted by his deep velvet voice.
"You haven't checked your phone Layla? I told you I'd pick you up, you haven't been checking your messages ? And your house wasn't hard to find. You forgot your iPhone had location on it?" He says this but it still makes me a little uneasy.
So he's stalking me now ? If any other guy was to do this I probably would be creeped out but for some reason it makes me feel more safe and I don't even know the guy. I'm definitely turned on about how determined he is to be around me.
"You know its bad to invade peoples privacy Jacob?" I say and walk into the kitchen.
"And stalker much ? I didn't share my location with you sir so?"
He follows me into the kitchen, "I thought you were an open book Layla? If you weren't you wouldn't have your location on."
I look at him with surprise, "I am an open book but you just met me Jake, even though I enjoy your company, you can't be weird. And the only thing I have my location on is Snapchat.." I laugh to try to calm myself and try to make my tone seem nicer.
"Exactly, check your phone I added you on snap as soon as i added your number in my phone." He says trying to prove his point.
I look down at my phone and go to Snapchat and realize he did add me after all.
Still that's still weird!
I surrender in defeat. "Fine... you win Jake." I say in a sweet voice.
He smiles a simple smile and says, "Layla I don't think I would want anyone else to call me Jake after you just said it the way that you did."
Oh my god he's doing it again. He's glowing. The sexiest smirk on his face and I just want to kiss him.. Wait! What am I saying ? I'm with Ian Geez Layla get yourself together!
I blush, "I assume your driving?" As I say this he nods with a smile and we head out the door.
His car was like no other.. It had no distinct model, it was just so new like a porche, but ten times better and I could tell it was drop top by its structure. It was absolutely him a sexy car for a sexy guy. He opens my door and makes sure I'm in good before he closes it then walks around to his side to get in.
"You ready?" He asks this and I'm not sure if he's joking or if he's serious so I just nod in compliance.
The whole twenty five minute ride we ride in silence, if you count out the music that was playing. Every so often we'd sneak a glance at each other as if we didn't see each other looking. I look down at my phone for the first time since I left school, I have nine missed calls, thirty unread messages and six voice mails. Geez! Someone was really trying to get in contact with me so I look through the names. I see Danielle, Ian, Jacob, Janice, Chloe, etc. They all really care about me that's one thing I can say. Well not about Jacob I barely know him, but I definitely get that vibe from him. The other few have always been so friendly and nice to me they're the most amazing creatures on this planet and I love them all.
