What now?

Chapter 9:

I was watching the clock, mostly because I was so nervous for the lunch with Brandon. I mean I just met him and now he wants to go to lunch? Like what?

There was really only like 3 minutes left , but it felt like forever. I tapped my foot, and checked my phone because it vibrated on my hand.

Brandon:
Hey still on for lunch?

Me:
Yeah totally! Meet you at my locker?

Brandon:
Heck yeah! See you soon QT :)

I put my phone down and then the bell rang. I grabbed my back pack then made my way over to my locker. He was sitting there on his phone.

"Hey there." He said. "Ready to go?"

"Yes sir, want me to drive?"

"No ma'am. I can do it." He said with a smirk on his face.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me along. When we reached his car he opened the door and helped me in. What a gentlemen. He jogged over to his side and slid in.

"Nandos?"

"Sounds great!"

We drove and surprisingly it wasn't awkward.

"What?! You ate dog crap?" I said.

"I was 7 Kaylee! It looked like chocolate ! Don't judge me." He said with a chuckle after.

"I'm not judging." I said putting my hands up in defence.

We pulled up to nandos and went inside. This was pretty nice actually.. The waiter made his way over.

"Hey I'm Colton, what can I ... Kaylee?"

"Oh hey Colton."

"What can I get you guys?" He said staring at me.

"How about just one whole chicken and some fries."

"Alright and to drink?"

"Dr.Pepper and Pepsi?"

"Will do."

"Thanks Colton." He nodded then walked away.

"So kaylee, I was thinking maybe we should go on a date."

"Um.. Yeah!"

"Tomorrow night . dress casual. 7:00, I'll pick you up."

"Sure!" I said touching his hand. I couldnt focus on Brandon considering the boy I almost had sex with is our waiter.

"So Caitlin told me about luke." My thoughts were interrupted.

"Oh yeah? What about him..?"

"That you guys were in love and he broke your heart. I know you still love him, but I'm here to change your mind."

"Thanks Brandon, but I don't know. I still do want to go on a date with you though!" I said with a smile. Colton kept glancing at me, which honestly it was really awkward. I wish he would stop.

Our food was brought over here by a lady named Callie. She set it down and gave us our check. I pulled out my wallet but Brandon insisted on him paying.

"Brandon, really I don't mind!"

"Kaylee, this is my treat."

"Fine, at least let me pay for the date."

"No, that's on me as well."

I let out a small sigh. My phone began to vibrate because someone was calling. I pulled it out and saw it was Luke. I sent it straight to voicemail then felt brandon grab my hand to pull me out of Nando's. I really wish I would've answered.
