So as said this is the sequel to Demon By Night. I think this one is a little more depressing but as for me, I'm not afraid to read about people breaking up, torture and all that kind of stuff. So if you don't like that kind of stuff maybe don't read the sequel... With that being said you can easily read the first book without having to read the sequel so that works fine too. I think this is an amazing continued story and again. I just love vampires. Give it a try!
