Chapter Eight
Destiny's POV
As I walk into school, I notice that Rikki isn't waiting for me like she usually does.
It was odd. Rikki wasn't at the party.
Neither was Dominic.
Oh.
My.
God.
They were....together.
Shit!
That freaking awesome/bad at the same time.
Dominic is eighteen. Rikki is fourteen.
He could be charged with rape!
Oh, Destiny, you're totally overreacting.
"Hey, Destiny...?" I hear a voice behind me say.
I turn around.
There is Alan.
"Hey! What's up?" I ask, feeling the blush creep up.
"Oh, not much. I just was wondering if you were free tomorrow night? Maybe we could go to a movie or something..?" Alan was acting shy. Alan. The most loud and obnoxious guy at our school.
"Um, yeah. That'd be amazing."
"I'll meet you at the cinema!" He said, a smile bursting onto his face.
I'm on cloud nine.
Except...
WHERE THE HELL IS RIKKI?
Dominic's POV
I'm a horrible person.
I'm leading a really vulnerable girl on.
We can't be together.
I'm going into the military.
I'll probably get really messed up there.
And, well, Rikki deserves better.
But we're sitting in my car, right outside of school, where we slept last night.
And no, we didn't have sex.
We just curled up in the back seat and made out until we were too exhausted.
She called her mom and told her she was staying with Destiny.
"Hey, you should probably wake up. First period starts in like ten minutes." I whisper, kissing her jaw.
"Shit. I look like hell." She said, sitting up and glancing in the rearview mirror.
"You look beautiful."
"Shut up." She giggled, pulling my face to hers.
I wrap my arms around her waist.
So what if I'm leading her on.
I can't lose her.
I..
I'm...
I'm in love with her.
