Sorry for the short chapter and bad grammar. I've been super busy but really wanted to get something out there. So this is basically part one of Diana's next chapter. It is really important for the future, more story-oriented parts of Diana's story-line.

DIANA

The man was the most fascinating creature Diana had ever laid eyes upon. He was so beautiful. He lay, unconscious, on the large slab of stone beneath the healers' smoke and perfumes. He was completely naked, and Diana was struck by the strangeness of his body. He was definitely a human. But unlike any human Diana had ever seen.

For one thing he had hair all over his body. Women did too, but the man's was thicker and covered him all over. It was courser, curlier, and covered his chin. His body was less curved, and more muscular. His chest was flatter and covered in more hair. He also had additional appendages were his genitals should have been. One of them was long, finger like, and surrounded by even courser, thicker hair. For some odd reason, it made Diana blush.

The man was a thicker human, and a rougher-looking human than any of the Amazonians. Yet, when she had carried him to the safety of the palace, he had felt light and fragile compared to her. He felt like she could break all of his bones with a flick of her wrist if she wanted to.

Diana stepped toward the man, reaching out to touch his face. Her finger ran along his cheekbone. He moaned, and it sent a shiver down Diana's body. His skin was softer than she'd expected.

She remembers the gasps from her Amazonian sisters when they had seen her carry in a bloody, dying man in strange clothes. Many of them, like her, had never seen a man before, and were shocked by how similar and yet different he was compared to them. Her mother forbid her to come and see the man after she had delivered him to the healers, but Diana had come anyway.

There was something about him...

Something that drew her to him...

She had always been curious about the world of men. She had always asked her mother questions, and her mother had always brushed her questions away. "The world of man is a dangerous and mysterious place. The gods protect us from them and their barbaric ways. That is all you need to know my dear," her mother would always tell her.

Now, for the first time ever, Diana had found a man. If he ever woke up, perhaps he could tell her what the world of man was like, or even take her there!

He shifted in his sleep and Diana pulled her hand back.

"You should stay away from the man, my lady," one of the healers said, sprinkling strange ruby droplet's onto the man's bare chest. "Men are known to be dangerous. The gods have always protected us-"

"From them and their barbaric ways, I know," Diana, said, stepping back, but unable to take her eyes off him. "Trust me, I know."

"Diana?" she heard her mother's voice say behind her, "What are you doing here? I thought I forbade you to visit the man."

"But mother-"

"Enough! Get out of here. While the healers and the gods do their work."

Diana reluctantly headed toward the door. She then turned back to her mother. "Mother, what will happen to him?"

"You mean if he doesn't die?"

Diana shook her head, pushing up the end of her tunic that had fallen down.

"I suppose someone will have to take him back."
