It took Thomas almost twenty minutes to find the dorm building, and he was anxious to meet his roommate. He couldn't help his mind from racing with worst-case scenario possibilities. Would he like me? Will he be okay with who I love?

The brunette stood in front of room 250 just staring at the door, as if waiting for an ghost to knock for him. Luckily he didn't even need to knock, because the door flew open revealing a tall boy with olive skin.

"You must be Minho?" Thomas asked with a smile, looking at the University issued pamphlet with the list of roommates.

"In the flesh, so you must be the roomie." Minho smirked, and Thomas decided then that they would get along just fine.

It looked like Minho was heading somewhere which had Thomas confused. We've only been on campus for an hour, so how can he be going out?

Minho must've read the confusion on Thomas' face because he started explaining, "A small group of friends are meeting up for a Campus Christening party. You interested?"

"You sure?" he asked, not wanting to force himself on the poor guy.

"Of course, if you're gonna be my roomie you gotta meet my friends." Minho rolled his eyes as if it was completely obvious and walked past Thomas, down the hall.

Thomas thought it seemed like Minho genuinely wouldn't mind him tagging along, so he quickly dropped his bags inside the dorm and jogged to catch up with his new friend.

As they walked down the hallway Minho turned to Thomas, "I don't know why yet, but I think I like you shank."

Thomas smiled at him but in his head he was completely confused, What's a shank?

Apparently Minho's "small group of friends" included half of the school's population.

The party was being held in someone's parent's house just a short drive from campus, and Minho and I had taken his car. He seemed like a pretty cool guy, I guess I lucked out in the roommate lottery.

When Minho and I walked in I was overwhelmed by the amount of people in the house, crowds aren't really my thing.

People were littered around in the living room and the kitchen, talking, dancing, and drinking beer. Minho and I wound our way through the packed bodies into the backyard, the loud music making my heart beat with excitement.

Minho lead me to the backyard which was almost empty except for a group of kids around the fire, which was our destination.

"Minho! Is that the new shuckface you've got for a roommate?" Teresa, the girl I bumped into earlier stood up and smiled at me.

The group laughed, and went around the circle saying their names. Gally, Chuck, Brenda, Aris. The last person in the circle took my breath away, because he was the most beautiful boy I'd ever seen.

He had messy blonde hair and chocolate brown eyes, plus a jawline that could cut glass.

He smiled as I stared at him, awestruck by his beauty.

"Hey Tommy, name's Newt."

Newt

Tommy was actually really cool, and we got along really well. We spent almost the whole night singing and dancing to the music blasting from the house.

Turned out Tommy and I actually had a lot in common, our favourite bands were both Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco, we both loved comedy movies, Coca Cola, and running.

I had also caught Tommy staring at me a couple times through the party but shrugged it off. It probably didn't mean anything anyway.

But I do admit to staring at him a couple times too, taking in his handsome features and his broad shoulders. But that DEFINITELY didn't mean anything.

I've dated plenty of girls in the past, I mean, I'm obviously straight.

Right?
