"SARAH! FOR GOD'S SAKE WE'RE GONNA BE LATE!!" my mom called downstairs.

"Coming! Coming!" I skipped few steps while going down the stairs. "Geez woman, I was putting my socks on!"

"We're gonna be late for our flight honey. C'mon now" my mom stated.

You probably have no idea what's going on do you? Sorry I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Sarah Johnson, 17 years old/young, though I have no idea why people say 'young' when in fact, you are getting older. Sorry about that... Anyways, my mom and I are just getting ready to go to the airport. we are leaving to London. my mom received a call few days ago saying that she got a promotion and basically, she has a better job opportunity and took it.

Now standing here, taking a last glance of this awful house, I was ready to leave. I called it awful not because it looked awful, it just had too much of bad memories and nightmares. the important thing is.. I finally got to leave this house, maybe start over again, you never know right?

I put on my Vans and took a last peek on the mirror. My light brown hair was in big, loose curls, hanging to the middle of my back. my mascara and black eyeliner made my brown eyes seem a little lighter. I was wearing a long sleeve blue shirt with a black scarf on it, along with black skinny jeans. And of course my favorite Vans. I put my coat on and opened the front door before my mother, letting the strong wind blow in. Although it was 11:30 in the morning, the clouds seemed way darker as if it was 7:00 in the afternoon, that's because the clouds were doing a good job blocking the sunlight, making the sky look darker. Winter. ugh. The taxi mom had called earlier was here, waiting. The driver took our suitcases and put them in the boot as I sat at the back seat, looking through the window at my house. so long buddy. I wont miss ya.

London, here I come. Just please don't be crappy like Alberta. Thanks.

As we got on the airplane, my mom sat next to me, smiling. She just smiles to reassure me that everything's gonna be alright.. well I don't know about that. "What are you thinking about?" she smiled at me warmly. I must have stared too much or? whatever. "nothing" I just smiled. she crossed her legs and sighed. "if only..." she said really quietly I barely heard her.

"If only what?" I asked.

"If only i had another option, I wouldn't have made us move. I know it's hard for you Sarah. but you just have to understand. my previous job was barely giving us what we need. This job, on the other hand, is much better for both of us". she was right.

"Hey. I didn't say that it's hard for me! I'm actually happy that we finally get to leave this crappy house. I'm happy now." I smiled at her as I put one arm around her shoulder. she smiled at me as she kissed my forehead.

Yes, my mother and I are close. we started being that close after my dad has left us. He left me and my mother when I was 14. he came home drunk and- "would you like some tea, honey?" a flight attendant asked me, interrupting my thoughts. "No thanks"

After the long hours on the plane, we finally arrived at London, and now we were on our way to our new house. I just couldn't wait. The taxi driver has stopped and my mom paid him. 'We're here!', I thought to myself. As we put our suitcases outside the car, the driver pulled away. My mom looked at me, smiling, her dimples were showing. Gosh I've always wanted to have dimples! they're just so cute. I looked at our house, smiling as well. New house, new start. I looked around the neighborhood, the houses looked pretty much like ours, only with different designs. as I kept looking around I saw a tall guy right next to our house, probably checking his mailbox. He must be our neighbor. I couldn't quite see him properly, it was a little foggy weather. London. Upon a closer inspection the figure turned, I stopped.
