Chapter 5

Derek's POV

I huffed looking down at my phone. I waited three hours. Three! and Stiles didn't even show up. If he really wants to commit to this not talking thing then I'm willing to comply. I sat on my bed staring blankly at my painted walls, my stomach lurched with a sudden pain and I winced clutching it

It's been hurting ever since I left Stiles' house that one morning. I lie down suddenly feeling nauseous. My head throbbed and I felt vomit starting to rise in my throat. I instantly rose from my bed and sprinted into the bathroom, the taste of vomit sticking to my tongue. I emptied the contents of my stomach into the toilet

I groan resting my head on the toilet. I don't understand how I'm sick seeing that I haven't been sick in ten years. I flush the toilet and slowly get up from my spot, my stomach settling. I brush my teeth getting the bitter taste out of my mouth. I can hear Peter downstairs shuffling in the kitchen most likely cooking

I trudged back to my bedroom, grabbing a pair of sweat pants and a large sweater. I changed and walked down the stairs in my socks. I could smell bacon frying from the pan. I sigh and walk into the kitchen to see Peter reading on his iPad while sipping on his coffee, a plate of bacon and eggs rested on the table. I sit down and grab the plate without a word

"Since you're grounded, I'll be driving you to and from school" Peter spoke casually as I gave him my best death glare

I dig into the food only to find that it doesn't taste as good as it usually does. In fact, it tastes disgusting. I spit out the eggs onto a napkin and Peter raises an eyebrow at me. I burp feeling another wave of nausea come on

"What's the matter with you?" he asked and I waited until I knew my stomach was settled enough for me to speak

"I feel like I want to vomit and your food is shitty today" I say

"What? I made my food how I would make it any other day" he set down his iPad obviously annoyed with me

"Here, taste it yourself" I shove the plate towards him and he sighs grabbing it

He bites into it and gives me a weird look "It tastes fine"

"If you say so" I roll my eyes getting up from my seat and walking to the fridge to grab a bottle of water

"Are you feeling okay?" he bit into the bacon knowing I wasn't going to finish it

"Just peachy" I muttered before taking a chug of my water

"Since when have you been feeling this way?" he hesitated "Sick that is"

"Since you grounded me" I spat bitterly

"Since the night you were with Bilinski" he corrected and I felt the tips of my ears warm up

"I already told you I was playing video games with Isaac" I feel my neck heat up with a blush as I sit back down

"Yeah sure, anyway why don't we head to Deaton's just to see if anything is wrong with you" he straightened up giving me a half sympathetic, half annoyed expression

I scoffed "Look, I'm going to get my shoes on for school so you can drop me off"

Peter scowled ready to argue but I stood up before he could say another word. I race up the stairs and go back into my room slipping on my gym shoes and putting my book bag on my back. I sigh grabbing my phone and stuffing it into my pocket. I feel my back start to ache from the weight of my book bag which is surprising seeing that it usually feels like nothing is on my back

I walk to our driveway locking the front door behind me, Peter is sitting in his car his eyebrows knit knit together. I toss my book bag in the trunk and sit in the passenger side, my Camaro parked just beside us. I'm going to miss my baby, I frown slouching in my seat watching my car get smaller and smaller as Peter drove towards the school and away from our house. I roll my window down letting the breeze hit my face, the fresh air soothed my queasy stomach. Peter passes by Beacon Hills High and I instantly sit up alarmed hurting my back in the process. I rubbed at my back in pain wincing
