The rain pelted down from the cloudy night skies upon the greenery of Middle Earth. Many took shelter from this storm with their families by the fire. But one young girl was not amongst such scenes. She was running. Running from her home. Her mother and an evil man to her eyes.

This young girl was alone with no protection but she didn't care. All she cared about was getting as far away as she could from the cruel world behind her. Thunder and lightning clapped. Scaring the life out of her but amongst the flash of light she spied a cave not to far away. Making haste, she ran to the cave and took shelter. Shivering under her long red cloak. Her wet brown hair matted against her face. She sat against the cold stone wall and curled up into a tight ball. Hoping she would never be found in the cave. She lifted her head and laid her chin on the tops of her knees letting out a little sigh.

It had all happened so fast

All she remembered was many screams and so much red. She had managed to cast a vine spell on the evil man she once admired and ran before anything else happened. She didn't dare even speak his name or think of him anymore.

She shrugged her bag off and dug through it, finding the spell book her father had given her as a toddler before he died. She hadn't opened it until now. Not even when she found out that she was the sixth wizard. Flipping through the pages with a speedy reading spell she stopped on a page that had almost been scored off. Squinting her brown eyes she read the description of the spell.

"Time leap? Unable to use? Strange..." She muttered to herself. She flipped the page and read further into the description "the time leaping spell allows the user to leap back and forward into different times and dimensions as desired? Heh what I wouldn't give to be anywhere but here" she laughed to herself. She began to think for a moment and smiled to herself "maybe I can...no harm in trying" she said as she stood. She read a page with a long spell and frowned. She needed an object to channel her magic in to become the time leaping trigger. Her eyes downcast to her long chain that she wore on her neck. Hanging from the end of it was an oddly shaped key that was a dark silver colour with a single ruby. She had found it years ago in the forest and kept it with her as it seemed to her like a good luck charm. She grinned and held the cold metal in her hand and chanted the spell

"Hellebore henbane aconite glowworm fire and firefly light..."

She looked around and found nothing had happened and sighed in disappointment. That's when she noticed the small print on the bottom "to activate, hold the object out and say where you wish to go. For round objects tap it three times. Keys must have an unlock motion in the air. Pendants tapped once" she mumbled. She rose an eyebrow and looked at the key in her hand. She nervously held the key out and pretended she was unlocking a door. Again nothing happened until she remembered to say where she wanted to go

"Anywhere but here. I don't care, as long as I'm safe" she begged quietly.

She felt a warm tingle from the key and before her eyes a portal swirled before her. She gasped as she could see many stars and colours. She became hesitant until through the battering of the rain and the clap of lightning she could hear multiple voices. She clutched her cloak and gasped. It was now or never!

So with a hard run she leaped into the foreign portal, screaming as she did as it closed behind her. She was airborne and frightened but she knew she had to be brave and see where she would go. Not very long after jumping through she could see a light and felt a cold breeze. Without warning she was falling. She squealed as she landed in a pile of white snow. She sat up and spat out the cold substance invading her mouth. She slowly looked around, knowing she was not in middle earth anymore. She stood up cautiously and dusted herself off. She began to smile to herself and laugh "I'm free" she whispered. She giggled and threw some snow in the air "I'm free!" She squealed. She began to spin and fell onto her back, making snow angels. A sigh of happiness left her lips as she sat up again. Only to freeze in her spot.

Hidden in the trees, she could see an orange and black creature she had never seen before and alarm bells rang in her head. The creature ventured closer making her crawl back, unaware of the edge behind her. When she felt that the was falling she screamed, closing her eyes tight expecting pain. But she felt warm fur instead. Her eyes snapped open and she found herself mounted on the creature.

"You saved me?" She asked as she slowly slid off. She swore that the creature smiled and before her eyes, it slowly shrunk and stood to almost her height and morphed into a young girl with bright orange hair and blue eyes.

"It was my pleasure, Miss. I don't think I've seen you here. Which is odd. I know everyone in Narnia. What's your name?" The young girl smiles curiously.

"Well...my names Rowena Moon. I-I'm not from here actually"

The young girl frowns slightly. "How are you not from here? And my name is Sibria by the way." She giggles. "Sibria Keorn!" She stands proudly.

Rowena smiled "Sibria. That's really pretty. Its a pretty long story actually..." She explained nervously

Sibria nods and smiles. "No need to explain. Welcome to Narnia, Rowena! I'm sure you will find it very magical . . . I guess you could probably tell already . . . by what happened a moment ago." Sibria giggles nervously. "When I was a . . . tiger. Ummmm, would you like me to show you around?" She grins.

Rowena smiled softly and nodded "I could use a tour guide right now. It's so pretty here. I love winter."

"I would be happy to show you around. I'm sure you will like Narnia. And yes, winter is lovely here. Wait until it's spring. Everything comes to life!" Sibria grins. "I hope you will be able to meet my king one day. He's very nice. His name is Aslan."

"aslan huh? Where I come from there's lots of kingdoms and kings and stuff." Rowena giggled as she walked with Sibria through the snow. Their arms linked together as they happily chatted.

"Well, we do have a queen also. We call her the white witch. Try not to get in her way. She's . . . evil. She cast a spell on Narnia. It has been winter for a very long time because of her." Sibria shudders.

Rowena shivers slightly "reminds me of someone back where I'm from. Sibria do you know if I can stay anywhere? I'm kind of stuck here until I figuire out the spell I used to get here..." she asked nervously.

Sibria studies Rowena. "Spell? Are you a . . . Never mind. Yes. You can stay with me. Do you like . . . caves?" She giggles hesitantly.

Rowena laughed "I love them. So mysterious and just full of wonder " she sighed

Sibria laughs. "Well, glad you love them! Right this way then." She smiles.

Rowena grinned and followed her new friend through the forest. Knowing that this would be indeed a beautiful friendship indeed.
