Glass Wall

This glass wall that we have made
Was meant to keep us in our place
Now I can't help but want to invade
I just need to be close to your face

We can see each other through it
Our cards have already been dealt
This whole situation is full of shit
And our separation clearly is felt

I just want to reach out and hug you
I want to feel your body warm mine
There is so much we just need to do
I need you to send shivers up my spine

I've come close to breaking our wall
Especially that day you were so cute
If I did so our entire world would fall
And that would just result in a dispute

This unseen glass wall holds all our secrets
When it comes down everything'll be out
The wall's fall must be a mutual agreement
Since our love will be free, without a doubt

I await and fear our precious wall's death
For the shards to be left in a perfect mess
Face to face you can finally take my breath
Allowing our heartfelt love to finally progress

I'm scared to be the cause of destruction
The wall is what we know, and love to hate
I can't idly watch your innocent seduction
But this everlasting wall cannot be our fate

I know it will eventually come down
But I need this eventually to be now
This wall is a circus and I'm the clown
When can we just take our final bow?
