I try to find hope
That one day I will find the magic
That I left in my memory
Memories of faded hatred
Memories of untold shame
Tender words once whispered
Now seem fuzzy and so far away
Love and passion are getting to the end
Friendships are now off and shallow
Because I forgot how beautiful it was with us both
Smiles are empty and faded
Eyes are saddened and dead
Dreams have burned
Tears have dried
Hearts hardened
We walk without watching
The pale memories of your dark touch
Like artifacts of the tenderness I loved so much
Are getting stuck in the dense mist
And remind us that everything is only insanity
Remember that our love embellished our livelihood
Our friendship will stay remnants of our childhood
We will only be ephemeral memories
