The Story of Matthias

The Leather Bound Notebook

Matthias and I were eating lunch one day when I noticed a leather bound notebook in his stack of new books. When asked about it, he simply said "I write down everything that is important in there". I nodded, and continued telling him about the book I was reading. Mai came over to our table and wrote "when will Saty and Edward be back from their vacation?" I jumped up realizing what time it was. "I was supposed to meet them at the train station at two!" I yelled. (You are probably wondering why I haven't quoted myself speaking before. Well, I haven't seen it necessary until now). "Who are Saty and Edward?", Matthias asked. "They are...my friends?" I did not know how to describe my relationship with them. "I will see you next week Matthias I have to go."

     I was waiting for Saty and Edward when I saw them step off of the train and onto the platform below. Seeing me, Edward waved his arms and called out. When I got over to them, I saw Edward was leaning heavily against his suitcase. "Are you alright?", I asked. "Just had a little mishap on the way", he said. Not wanting to press further, I looked at Saty. She came forward and hugged me. "Are you okay?", she asked me, concern in her voice. I told her I was fine, and we set off. When we got to their house, Edward collapsed on the love-seat. "How was your vacation?", I asked. "It was fine, until Edward got stabbed", Saty said. I just looked at Edward. "It happens", he shrugged. After a couple of minutes I left them to rest. Maybe I should explain how they look. Edward is tall and skinny. His brown hair comes down to his ears just above his glasses. He is a "doctor" and treats his friends. Saty is tall and skinny with brown hair to her ears. She does jobs for people I don't want to explain. They have known each other for years and are best friends. Edward loves Saty and makes sure everyone knows it. Saty loves Edward, but I'm the only one that knows. I have been trying to get them together for as long as I have known them. Oh well, what can I do anyways? So from now on, Saty and Edward will be mentioned in this story all the time, as they are very important. But it is not their story, not yet anyways.
