Chapter 6: The Clash

Axel's POV

"Sir, Mr. and Mrs. Cheung are now waiting for you at your meeting place" sabi ng secretary ni Dad sabay abot ng calling card. Well, karamihan naman ng secretary ni Dad ay lalaki, I don't mind. I can have a new EA soon.

"Eric, please post in our website that I'm looking for a new Executive Assitant" I said authoritatively.

"Ahh Sir, you just hired Ms. Vergara, right?"

I stared at him as if sizing him up " I am the boss here at nagkakandahirap hirap ako sa mga schedule na yan!"

I hurried on my way to the parking lot. I cursed in the air as I 've checked na lumagpas ako sa hotel at bawal mag U-turn.

"Can't this day get any worse?!" padabog kong hinampas ang manibela. If only killing is legal, I would kill that woman in a fancy way I know.

As I finally reached my destination, I was led to where the Cheung couple is staying.

"Good day, Mr. &Mrs. Cheung, sorry for making you wait".

Mr. Cheung, shook my hand and smiled brightly. I guess, it's not bad shot at all. "It's alright, Axel. Kami dapat ang mag sorry. It's an off hand meeting. Mabuti at naisingit pa kami sa schedule mo".

I was lost for a moment when he said that naisingit lang ang meeting??! As I looked at his back, I saw a familiar figure.

"Hijo, maiba tayo. Our resort is planning to expand and we want your team to do the ads. I believe that it's a worth investment", nakangiting sabi ni Mrs. Cheung.

I smiled sweetly, " I couldn't agree more. I have the best people".

"So, when can we start?"

I sip my coffee and stared again at that familiar figure.

"We can discuss the details next week. But for now, I'll put you in our calendar and will ask my team for the rough draft ng gusto nyong concept".

They both smiled at me and took my hand as if I am the greatest man they ever talked to. Well, magaling naman talaga 'ko.

"We knew that you won't turn us down, it's a deal then", Mr. Cheung said and winked at his wife.

"Now that it's settled, my assistant will send you an e-mail para sa quotation", I said in a calm tone.

"Axel, we won't mind how much will it take. I do this for my wife's birthday. I want to give her the best. Itong resort expansion ang hiniling nyang birthday gift".

"Alright. Thank you for choosing Cresentius. It's our pleasure to be part of your life event Mr.& Mrs. Cheung".

"Thank you din, hijo. I think we'll go ahead now. We have another appointment para naman sa supplies na kakailanganin namin", Mrs. Cheung smiled and pat my shoulders.

"Honey, I think, Ashton is here. Hindi na pala natin kailangang umalis".

I spin my head to see who's coming and to my surprise, my freaking EA is with that man! Seriously, nag AWOL ba sya para magtrabaho sa iba!

"Hi Tito, I'm just on time, right?", he said.

"Oo naman, good thing, naabutan mo pa si Axel. He's my college buddy's son at ang team nya ang gagawa ng ads namin" sabi ni Mr. Cheung.

"Axel, meet my nephew, Ashton. Sya nga pala yung supplier na sinasabi namin", sabat naman ni Mrs. Cheung.

Ashton offered his hand and I took it for the sake of the Cheung's couple. Hindi mapakali si Misty habang nakatingin ako sa kanya. She will pay for this! I stopped myself from the anger that about to burst.

"Nice to meet you Axel. Oh, by the way, I forgot to introduce Misty".

"Ash, is she your girlfriend?" tanong ni Mrs. Cheung.

The bastard just laughed. " No Tita, Not yet. We just met few hours ago".

I felt relief when he said that. Lalong lagot sa akin ang Misty na 'to.

"I already know her, don't bother to introduce us. I think we better leave now. Ms. Vergara and I have unfinished business to deal with", with that I left them with gaping mouths.

I walked to her direction and held her wrist. Naglakad ako nang mabilis palabas ng hotel. Wala akong pakielam kung pagtinginan pa kami ng mga tao at kung  matapilok pa sya. I am really mad right now.

"Sssir.. pwede po bang bagalan nyo lang maglakad? Masakit na po ang paa ko at nakakahiya po pinagtitinginan tayo ng mga tao".

I despised her plea. "Wala akong pakielam sa kanila. Wala din akong pakielam kung mapilay ka pa. I am so MAD RIGHT NOW!"

When we're about to reach my car, bigla na lang napaupo si Misty.

"Sir, hindi ko na po kaya ang sakit po talaga ng paa ko. Alam ko may atraso ako, but it's not right to treat me like this".

Ano daw? It's not the punishment yet.

I looked at her and.. yes, nag iba sya ngayon. She looks sophisticated. She's groomed today. So, sa paga AWOL nya, pakikipaglandian lang sa Ashton na yun ang ginawa nya?

"You better shut up at baka makalimutan kong babae ka."

Hinila ko ulit sya patayo at isinakay sa kotse ko. She has a lot of explaining to do.
