chapter nine

Jade's POV

My phone starts ringing.

Michael.

What does he want?

"Hello?"

"Hey."

"What's up? you never call me."

"Wellllll, your dear step brother needs a place to crash. I'm coming into town."  He says

"Oh okay, well you can stay here?"

"Awesome. Thanks!"

"You're welcome."

"I'll be there in two days."

"Sounds good! See you then."

The line goes flat as I pull the phone away from my ear. I haven't seen Michael in a few years. Not since he left at 19, now he's 23.

This should be interesting.

It's weird though because he use to have this fantasy about sleeping with me. It was strange, incest and shit.

Well he's technically not my stepbrother any more because our parents split up after he left, but he's still family.

I wouldn't ever imagine sleeping with Michael. It'd be weird, cause he's family still and our parents use to be together.

Plus I have Ashton now, I'm trying to fix things with him and try to see if anything happens between us.

Ashton

"Hello?"

"Hey, could I come over?"

"Sure, that's cool with me."

"Alright, be there in 5."

I hang up and clean up my living room a bit. Jasper has been running around all morning wanting to play, but this place is a wreck.

I hear a knock on the door.

"Come in!"

"Hey kitten."

"Hey." I give him a small smile.

"You want anything to drink?" I ask.

"Uh, I'm okay for now." he nervously chuckles.

I walk over and sit down on the couch, joined by him and my pup.

"How's your day going?" he questions me.

"Okay I guess. My stepbrother called just before you did. He's coming into town and he'll be staying with me for god knows how long."

"Oh nice, what's his name?"

"Michael. Why?"

"Michael Clifford??"

"Yes.." I trail off slightly confused.

"Holy shit. I haven't seen him in ages!! When will he be here??"

"In a couple of days."

"Wow, I'll have to come by and say hey to him sometime!"

"That's cool with me." I smile and laugh.

"Good." Ashton smiles and kisses my cheek.

"So you got any plans today?" I ask him as I get up to go put some dishes away.

"Maybe just spend the day with this extremely gorgeous girl."

"Oh okay, what's she like?"

"She's different." he smiles at me and winks.
