Lauren spent most of the evening at that table, leaving me to do all the messy work in the kitchen. Whenever I would glance over it would be because you could hear her roaring laugh, and to be honest she wouldn't be over there if the boss was in but luckily for her he wasn't. I decided to call of earlier than planned, leaving Lauren with the band. I shoved my coat on, and pulled the door back before hurrying out onto the street.

"Hey!" I turned around to see Ashton walking over to me. "Why you leaving so soon?" "Uh…I'm not feeling to well so…" "At least let me walk you home, incase you throw up or something…" I laughed. "It's quite a walk!" "I've got all the time!" He said as he started walking beside me. "Did you get the modelling job?" He asked after a couple of minutes of awkward silence. I shook my head. "What? You're beautiful though…" My eyes darted at him, did he really just say that? He smiled as my cheeks turned red. "What were you doing there?" I asked quickly, taking the attention away from myself. "Oh…I just go there sometimes, hoping to meet a beautiful young lady." I laughed. "It worked today!" He said quickly, raising his eyebrows at me. I shook  my head. "You really do play by the book don't you!" He laughed. "I model for a charity there sometimes, when they have new clothes and stuff. But it just so happened that a beautiful girl tried to kill me too!" "I didn't try to kill you!" I said. "You could make up for it!" He suggested. "How?" I asked suspiciously. "Let me take you out for dinner, just me and you." I stopped walking as he looked back at me. "What's wrong?" "That proposal…" "Hardly proposing to you, I would just like to take you out!" "It's not a date though…" "Not a date!" He said quickly, sticking his pinky out. I wrapped mine around his, leaning forward to look behind his back as he move his other arm behind it. He smiled before waving down a taxi. "Now, you get into this taxi which I will pay for, and you take my number!" He handed me a piece of paper, before opening the taxi door. "Thank you…" "Ashton!" He said quickly. "Thank you Ashton…" I said as I climbed into the taxi. He gave the taxi driver his money. "You're welcome…" "Imogen!" He nodded before waving goodbye as the taxi pulled away. If I say I felt overwhelmed, it would be a huge understatement. I had been texting Ashton from the moment I got home, as he insisted that I texted him to tell him I made it home safely. The next morning I arrived at the restaurant, to find Ashton sitting on the steps. "Morning!" He smiled. "Good morning!" I laughed. "I'm meeting someone here for a date!" He said as he followed me in. I suddenly felt weird, hearing the word date. "Oh well, where would you like to sit?" I said as I grabbed a couple of menus. "I don't know, what seat is good?" I lead him over to a table which was in the corner of the room, near the window which over looked the river. "You get an amazing view from here, so I'm sure you're date will like it!" "Thanks!" He said, taking a seat as I wandered off to the kitchen. "Imogen, can you start with the - Oh… what happened to your arms?" Mike said as he glanced down at my wrists which had bandages wrapped round them. "Oh, I kind of burnt them cooking last night!" "Oh, well, I was going to ask you to start with the washing but I guess that would be quite painful! So you can just get straight to waitressing!" I went over to Ashton's table. "Do you want a drink whilst you wait for your date?" "I'll just have water please!" "And do you want to order your date a drink, as they'll be along soon?" "No she won't be here yet!" I was a little thrown back, I sensed he wanted me to leave, so I just smiled and scurried away. Throughout the late morning/early afternoon Ashton just sat at the table, looking outside, watching people come and leave. His date hadn't turned up. "Imogen!" He called. I went over to see what he wanted. "Can I have a drink please, but something different… What would you recommend?" "Uhm, I love the orange juice they do here!" Ashton nodded. "Are you sure you have a date?" I laughed. He nodded again. "Can I order food too? What's the special?" I told him what the special was, and he ordered two lots of it, saying that his date would be arriving soon, which  made my stomach tie itself into knots for some reason. I kept glancing over at his table to see if he was still alone, which he was. A few minutes later his food arrived, but still no one sat opposite him. I waited a few minutes to see if someone would go over and join him, but in the end I couldn't resist. "Ashton, are you seriously just here alone?" I asked as I went up to his table. He looked up at me and smiled, "Nope! My date has just arrived!" He said before looking over his shoulder at the door as it opened.
