The Woman (Satire)

The celebrated liberal orator approached the podium microphone. She shuffled some papers and stared intently at the gathered congregation before her. When she began to speak, words of how homosexual marriage was viable and would move the nation toward equality and peace were emitted from her mouth. She digressed from the definition of marriage, and maintained a hold on the topic of peace.

A radical in the audience, previously threatened by the government to be silent or imprisoned, spoke of how peace was extraneous when anarchy would reign, morality would be lost, and children would become delinquent from the lack of a respective male or female parent, thus prohibiting the advancement of peace.

The acerbic left-wing speaker cried out to one of her transgender bodyguards to instantly murder the outspoken crowd member. A single bullet was fired and mortally wounded the anonymous speaker.

Ten years later, as the year 2025 flashed on a screen overhead, a reserved young woman, with a determined mind that once dreamed of changing the world, scripted a moving elegy to the martyr of her lost cause.
