Chapter 8: 3 Magic Words

---several weeks later---

We were all still in the hospital, and its been weeks now...I ended up having a broken arm and swollen wrists but its all good......I SURVIVED! Amy ended up with a dislocated shoulder and two broken legs so she's in a wheel chair but she's halfway healed. Richard...still asleep and was still attached to an oxygen mask and an oxygen tank, but was still alive though. Nicko ended up with two broken arms. Ramon was still paralyzed but alive, I guess his spine was damaged or whatever, all I know is that he's alive also his eyes were affected so he might use glasses now. Ella bailed on us like a slimy snake she is. Mari was okay but in a coma 😭😭😭😔😔😔😓😓😓.

...Unlike Ramon I learned to let it go...

Carl was in another coma, but I have a feeling Ramon didn't care about this one anymore, suppose he thought it serves him right. Mal was awake, her head was wrapped with white bandage and she had a dislocated elbow.

"Shena wanted to give you this before she tried to bomb us alive" she said handing me a white envelope with a fire symbol crested at the back of it. I ripped it open and read it...and read it...and read it then I stopped wide eyed. Then I read it again, trying to see if what I read was right.......but it was right.

Good to see you guys were still alive after that little "accident",

•Still not losing hope? Won't stop 'till the death are we? Fine! I'll play your games, but just so you know I won't stop until you do...serve this as a warning, not a pen pal message. By now, I'm in Japan. Oops! Did I spill the beans? Doesn't matter, you won't recover in time before I leave for another country...far, far away from here.

•Just so you guys know, Ella, Shawn and Aldrich works for me. Yes, I know Ella bailed out your little baby bums out in the open but at least we saved a life now did we? Think positive guys, cheer up! I mean, you're all alive. Nobody died. And the best part is, I got away with it...Hahaha...oh sorry, I meant to say was the best part for me was I got away. I never said it was good news for you.

•How's your memories guys? Feeling confused? If yes,then the better. You forgot the thing that you prioritized and I'm not here to remind it to you. Don't worry about the bill, I covered it all. Also the car. Since you guys were my friends anyways. Chow guys...until the next letter then. Tell Ramon "Besties before Lassies" and Lina "Sisters before Misters" 😝😝😝. "Thats trash" Amy snatched the letter from me and placed it on the counter of out room, she was basically in a bad mood since midges of her memories of Richard is coming back but she just pretends he's still a stranger to her. She remembered the teddy bear and Angel...their good times mostly but thank God not the fight. Please not the fight! Or she'll go beast mode again!!!

"This is CHAOS!" We heard Ramon said, we averted our eyes at him and he had the same expression as I did. He was reading the letter while using the glasses the optometrist gave him,"She's gone to chaotic to completely bonkers...no scratch that, she's gone sadistic" he said throwing the paper back at the counter.

Then he thought for a but, "But we'll make it...I'm sure, we still have hope. Not on Shena anyways but still..." Ramon said, trying to cheer the mood up.

"Make it? PETERS LOOK AT US!" Amy emphasized.

"Thats a little difficult right now!" Ramon said. At the moment he dropped the glasses the optometrist gave him, he can be a Grade A klutz but mostly a reflective thinker.

"My point exactly is...you can't see some of us can't even walk, we'll never make i-"

Amy stopped short because Ramon fell asleep. Snoring peacefully actually as Amy kept on fuming off steam by muttering something about: "Males" and "Hypocrites".

"Lets face it...We're just loosing our expenditure guys, this is taking us nowhere. In fact, we don't know who to trust anymore" I exclaimed.

"Okay...lets think this through, so far our questions are: Why did Shena leave us ever so suddenly? Why is she doing this? Where on earth could she be? And Who can we trust?" Amy emphasized.

"Clearly we can't trust Shawn, Ella, Aldrich and even Carl" Ramon muttered. Glaring daggers at his unconscious older brother.

"Oh, and she mentioned she's in Tokyo now and will move to another country. The clue is, its far far away from here" I said thinking for another clue.

"Well...whats farther than Japan from here?" Ramon said searching on google. We thought for a bit, what was farther than Japan from here? Seconds became minutes,minutes became hours then finally......we all snapped.

"PARIS!" We all said in unison.

"What would she do there? Its not like she knows anybody there-"

"Thats the point, nobody knows here there" Ramon finished my sentence while flexing his still sore hands,"But what would she do there?" Amy asked,"I don't know...start a new life perhaps?" Ramon opinionated, flexing his arms now.

"Maybe go in rehab?"

We gapped at Mal's guess as she shrugged.

"She's a sadist Mal, not drug dealer. There's a difference, try to hit the books for once" Ramon retorted,"Well blame my innocence" Mal rolled her eyes at Ramon who just scoffed it away.

"Lets go back to the subject here so...What could be the reason she left us?" I asked. But nobody had a clue, we all stayed silent until Mal opened her mouth to say something but Ramon beat her to it.

"For the last time she's is not a drug dealer!" Ramon shot daggers at Mal who just closed her mouth because Ramon just placed the words out of her mouth.

"There're too many variables...like: A broken heart, a broken past, a very very very very very very very important family problem, a duty, a set up, a new job, a-"

"Wait, wait, wait! What was that last one?" I asked Ramon who paused, catching my grip and attention Amy and Mal payed full attention on me.

"Uhh...a new job?" He questioned innocently.

"No,no,no! Before that!" I waved my hands getting something important back in my head.

"Uhh......a duty?" He asked.

"No you finked boor idiot! After that!" I said getting the SOLUTION WE WERE AFTER FOR.......THE SOLUTION THAT WOULD END THIS WILD CRUDDY GOOSE CHASE. HE JUST HAS TO SAY THOSE 3 MAGIC WORDS!

"Um...a set up-"

"A SET UP! She set us up right from the start!" I finished his sentence, at first they gave me a questioning look before they realized it. Damn, if it was a snake, it would've bit them.

With indignation Ramon started to cuss in a different language that was in between latin and deep english. Amy on the other hand sank her head in her pillow and screamed her anger and idiocy out. As I waited for them to stop.

Then they paused,"Are you done?" I yawned.

......But then they continued again and they fell asleep from doing it......
