As I went to pick up Luna from her last class, I bumped into Gerard literally. "Oh! Gerard." I said shocked and gave him a small smile.

"Elektra, you ready to go?" He asked, then he looked around. "Where's your shadow?"

"I have to pick her up from class." I told him, as I shifted my backpack onto my other shoulder.

"Ah, where's her class? I'll walk with you." He told me, waiting for my answer.

"It's Mr. Ainsworth." I told him "She has math eighth hour." I told him, he nodded as we walked past the senior lockers that we would be using next year. We are juniors, Luna will be a sophomore. We walked to Mr. Ainsworth's class.

Luna saw me, "Thanks, bye Mr. Ainsworth." She told him waving as she walked to me and Gerard.

"So, how was your day?" I asked her, smoothing her blackish blonde (more black than blonde) hair back gently.

"It was a day." She told me, with a tired sigh. I promise our life will be better, I will make sure it will be. I made the silent promise to her in my head.

"I know how that feels kid." Gerard said sympathetically, Luna nodded quietly. She really doesn't know him. So she won't talk to him until she knows him better.

"Cmon, do you have homework?" I asked her as I went to my locker. My locker is number 655, I put in my combination, saying it in my head as I did so 16-22-10 I put it in and opened my locker. I put my textbooks in my locker and shut it, I cleared my combination and looked at Luna.

"No, there's no homework." She told me, "So are we going to his house?"

"Yes, we aren't we?" I asked Gerard looking at him, wanting to make sure.

"Yeah, I already told you guys." Gerard told us as he gave us a crooked grin.

"Okay, let's go then." I told them, I felt a paper wad hit my back. I looked down at it, the crumpled words on it read freak. I flipped them off as I walked out of the school building, then Gerard tapped my shoulder. I turned, "yes?"

"Uh, Elektra... We need to go this way." He told me and pointed to the right, where his red sun-fire car sat there.

Of course, that was almost smooth. I sighed and shook away my blush that decided to come around. "Oh, yeah.. Heh.. I knew that." I mumbled as I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly.

Gerard chuckled softly at me, "Sure you did." He grinned at me crookedly, I felt my heart jump a little. What the-? I thought confusedly, my thoughts are interrupted by Luna. She laughed, I smiled slightly.. It's so good to hear that sound.. I thought, it's like a heavy weight has been lifted from my shoulders, hearing her laugh like that.

"You need to hush." I teased her, "You would have followed me if Gerard wouldn't have told you." I chuckled silently as I gave a slight smile.

Luna blushed and looked down. "You need to be quiet." She mumbled, Gerard laughed at us.

"Girls, girls, it's okay, don't get too feisty on me." He laughed and grinned at us. I'm going to miss him when he moves away. He then began to walked toward his red car pulling out his keys.

We followed him to the car, he unlocked his door and reached over unlocking the passenger side by the trigger and did the same to the back door. I got in the front, Luna sat behind me. "Thanks for this really." I told him gratefully as the heat blasted us, you couldn't help but breathe it in it came from the black interior and the cloth seats. I grabbed my seatbelt by the belt part, then I got the buckle, I made the mistake of grabbing the silver part of the buckle it burned my fingertips. I dropped it, "Shit, that's hot." I hissed in momentary pain. Then I buckled myself in careful to avoid the shiny silver reflective part of the buckle.
