"Just ignore her" Brianna said after we had successfully reached the outside of the class. "She's a little mean.." "Ha! That's Cassidy for you, acting like Queen B" "More like Queen Bitch", I muttered lowly. Her loud laugh indicated that she had definitely heard what I said. "Why exactly is she like that?" "Ugh who knows, ever since she dated Zac-" "Who's Zac?" "That hot piece of meat that arrived on his bike, but anyway ever since they dated, her already huge ego inflated." We stood in silence until, "and who would've thought the new girl would've stood up to her, no ones ever did that before", she said with a laugh. "So why exactly did you move to Harrington, the town of suck". The smile on my face slowly diminished, "uhm, we uh.. Just needed a change I guess" I tried saying nonchalantly. The less people know, the better.. I need to try blend in more. "Oh okay" she said skeptically, "we better get to class". She walked in first and I followed. I watched as she made her way over to the middle of the classroom and sat down and gave me a grin. I slowly moved away from my spot at the door and went over to the teacher. "Hi I'm-" "so you're the new delinquent hm?", the teacher disrupted me with distaste. "Uhm sorry.." "You're the new rebellious child, are you not? Well don't think you can try mess around in my class okay!" "Uhh" "Go take a seat", I turned around slightly confused, how did she know about my misdemeanors.. Oh yes of course, teachers read profiles. I slowly looked around for a seat, there were two open- one closest to my newly-made friend or one at the back of the room where I'm assuming all the jocks sat. I quickly moved over to the seat closest to Brianna. "Ignore her.. She's the the bitch's mom", Brianna whispered to me. 5 minutes into the lesson, a familiar dark-haired beauty walked in with enough confidence for 20 people. He slowly looked around the classroom with a lazy smile and when he spotted me, he kept his gaze even when the teacher, Mrs Bryanson spoke. "Zachary you made it!", she gushed. Ugh,  cue eye roll. "Yes mam, wouldn't miss it", his deep gravelly voice replied with an ounce of sarcasm. He placed himself in his seat and looked back up at me, where I was still stupidly staring and  he winked. Double shit. I whipped my head to the front of the room and tried to cover my crimson red cheeks with my hair. The lesson went past in a blur and so did the rest of the day, consisting mostly of Bri, who insisted I call her that, showing me around campus. As I exited the building and wished my new friend a good bye, I looked at my phone for the directions of the diner.
