Chapter 56: 7th of July(part 1)

However, I'm not as strong, especially i just recovered from the training with Mukuro san. I'm afraid that I might not be able to last long enough for her to complete the test. Acrobalenco told me that the grief would be tomorrow and i hope that Dokuro san and i could last long enough for her.

*time travel to the next day

Yukiko POV

I woke up with a throbbing headache today. Somehow in my bones i got a feeling that something bad was going to happen today but i couldn't predict anything else. I went to school as per normal. I couldn't focus on anything during lessons and had this feeling that something bad was goona happen soon.

~during recess

I couldn't take the pain anymore. I excused myself and went to the roof, wanting some sleep to feel better. However, Shitoro and Chrome chan were already there when I've reached.
"Why..why are you guys here?" I asked them. "Yukiko sama, now is the time for the last stage. Brace yourself." He said , and i felt a mist coverage over me. I turned and saw Chrome chan doing the same thing as well. Before i could say anything, my mind went black.

Unlike those time that i had encounters, this time was pretty much different. Instead of being instantly teleported to it, i was being vacuumed into it. When i woke up, i found myself in a war zone. Not exactly a war zone but looked like one. I focused on my surrounding, trying to make sense of what happened.

The entire town had changed so badly. It looked like a war zone. People were shouting and screaming for help as men in black started shooting in the air and yelled "where is the Tomaru?!"
I almost got stepped on when a man protected me by covering me.

"Are you alright miss?" I looked up and saw that it was Konito san. I nodded. He stood up, asking me to follow him to somewhere safe. We ran, trying to stay hidden from those men in black. We ran to the back of a street. We were panting, catching our breath. "Who are those men? What happen to this town?!" I said when we were better.

"Keep your volume down. I cant explain in detail but all these happen because of me. Because I'm the Tomaru. They are after my life, after my beloved child's life." "What are you saying?!?" "Look! There's no time for me to explain this but for now, please trust me."

Somehow deep in my heart, i began to trust him. Afterall he belonged to my family line. He could be my kin. He signalled me to follow him and i did my best to stay hidden and out of the sight of those men in black. Somehow, this felt like what happened at the orphanage.

He led me to a small dark corner and i saw his family. The Sami girl, who looked exactly like the Mother Sami i knew, Koneto san and the elder sister Saku san. Except that she's pregnant. "Who's she?" The Sami girl asked. Konito san explained to them how we met and explained to me what happened.

"Today marks the 1000 year of the curse of a Tomaru. I believe you must have heard that the two signs have passed. Yesterday till now, it has been raining non stop and we strongly believe that today will be the day of the third sign." Just as i was about to reply, we heard a loud boom nearby. Sensing the danger, i told and helped them to evacuate the area asap. We tried to stay hidden while traveling but with Saku san, it won't be difficult to go far.

After a while, we reached a shabby house where most of it were in pieces. "Aligatoh miss for helping us! What is your name?" Konito san asked me. I couldn't reply, how could i ever tell them that I'm a Tomaru and I'm from the future?! Before i could reply, i felt someone grabbed my hand. I looked and saw it was Saku san.

"Nito chan, how i wish our baby girl will be as pretty and kindhearted as this lady here..." I saw him nodded. Just before i wanted to hug them, suddenly my body became light and i appeared as invisible to them because Sami and Koneto san were calling for me in front of my face.
