It has been over a year now since I have moved to LA. Things have by no means been easy. The day that changed my life still was etched in my mind. The same day I found out I had landed the job of my dreams was the same day I found out Chris was still dating Melanie.
I will never ever get that moment out of my mind. I had been on the phone about to give Nicole advice on how to deal with Wayne when I about plowed into Chris and Melanie while Chris just stood there and stared at me like I had grown wings she gave me a smug look. I turned and fled half expecting Chris to come running after me to fix things, to explain things but he didn't.
He waited until the next morning to call. I refused to listen to his lies anymore and blocked his number eventually getting it changed so he couldn't call me from his phone or anyone else's.
It has always been my dream to move to California and work for a major cooperate company and just to be happy and drama free. Anyways at least one of my dreams have came true. I have my dream job but, I am far from being happy. Chris was well Chris Brown and I had been a nobody a basic girl he just happened to run into. Nicole and Wayne didn't make it either. Wayne had pulled a Chris and the next thing Nicole knew his face was all over social media with some new chick. It broke her heart and I wished that I could move her down with me but her baby daddy was fighting her on moving.
I had realized my dream of moving to LA living in the apartment came true. I had busted my ass off the first year working late hours and taking projects that nobody else wanted to work my way up. Now I have my own office. It wasn't much but its mine and I didn't have to work killer hours anymore.
Moving to LA has killed my social life, Nicole and I mostly talked through text now and I found out about my God babies through Facebook. I missed her but I was glad that my job had kept me busy, kept my mind off of Chris. As hard as I tried to ignore him, he was everywhere, on the tv and in the news.
