A tragedy has befallen the fab five. "YOU DISGUST ME. YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A CRIMINAL NOW," on reflection Wally's vitriolic words to Roy Harper now inflict him with sadness. The Titan's Lair may be underground the bustling city of Gotham, however Wally feels alone except for his tears. For the first time in the three years Wally has had his powers he finally slowed down.
There was not a sound before the automatic door of Wally's room slid up revealing Robin without his mask. "Wally it's going to be okay," Robin says while walking over to Wally to lay his hand on his shoulder. The mix of kevlar and rubber is noticeable but the warmth of connection is not lost.
"I'm in shock too and feel this overwhelming sadness that we had to be the ones to discover Roy like that," Wally lets Robin's words hit him not sure what to say if anything. "You don't get it, R. How am I ever supposed to face him again," crackled out of his throat through pain. "What you said came from a place of disbelief and anger. Surely, Roy understands that and obviously he has issues right now that he may not want to face with us." Robin reasons with Wally. "Is that really how you feel or is that how the Batman trained you on druggies?" Wally shoots out. "What?" Robin says shocked. "I mean my words and actions have meaning! It's not just about protocols. You think you know how everything is going to go right just because you have a guy telling you how it should be. For God's sake, I don't even know your name and your idea of cheering me up was taking off your mask. Do you even care that Roy's gone? Or is he a missing spot for this task force?"
Robin grabs Wally's face to make sure he can see his eyes. Both young men have tears diluting the colors of their respective green and blue eyes becoming a mutual gray. "Dinah said Roy is with her right now. I called before coming here to be with you. She wants to take him to rehab however he's being apprehensive right now, but she has faith he'll come around. And about the Titans you all are where I get away from Gotham and everything that comes with to be my own man." Robin let's go of Wally's face. "You're sti-" Wally starts before Robin interrupts him. "My name is Richard Grayson."
Wally's head lifts up superhumanly quick and cracks a smile through his tears. Richard could swear he saw lightning gleam off his teeth. Leaving no time to wonder Wally rushed forward knocking Richard down into a bear hug. Accidentally as the two fell inordinately quickly together their lips landed on each other.
Wally's eyes went wide and his face grew redder than his hair. "Damn, I really do need to get rid of the booty shorts if you're gonna try to kiss me," Richard says to cut the tension. "Ugh, you were always a dick," Wally adds. They both laugh together side by side with both arms wrapped around the other's shoulders. "I guess I am," Dick said.
