Chapter Eleven: Excalibur's Double

Start from the beginning

I've had many names over the years but I've quite come to like the name Jordon and that is the name I'm going to go by from now on. Forget all the other names, forget my actual name.

"Son where have you been?" he questions me.

I lean against the wall looking down at the abandoned village down below the abandoned half destroyed castle.

"Morgana will die," I whisper.

"She is on her way to Camelot with an army would that be such a good idea?" he questions me.

"Good idea or not I'm going to kill her with your help or not," I tell him.

"Your killing him," he suddenly whispers.

"Merlin is more stronger then you think father. I will not actually kill him until he has done what I need him to do," I tell him.

"I need his power. You better hope he doesn't die!" he snaps.

"Calm down father. I've nearly broken him I'm certain," I smile to my father.

"You better be certain boy," he says looking like he wants to hit me. Not a first time he wanted too either, just the way my father has always been. No wonder mum left him...if she hadn't she may still be alive though. What am I saying. It's not my mums fault she died its Morgana's. Its always been her fault.

"What's the plan?" asks my father.

"Thought you never ask," I smirk with glee.

Merlin's POV (First POV)

I open my eyes slowly to find myself on some sort of cart with Jordon and his dad. Looks like we are heading back towards Camelot. I notice the area.

"Morning Merlin," says Jordon.

"Morning," I manage to say back.

"Are you going to help us or not?" he asks looking at me evily.

I can't put up with this for much longer. I need water and food and a proper nights sleep and they know that as much as I. I don't think I have a choice here. I know such a blade is powerful but I must summon the Great Dragon and give what Jordon wants. If Morgana is to die, it would make Camelot a lot safer...

I nod, "Stop and I will summon him," I whisper.

"That's a boy. Knew you would agree in the end and soon as I got what I want we find you some food and water and let you get a good night rest before I kill her."

They stopped in a big enough clearing for me to summon the Great Dragon. I don't like what I am about to do but I have no choice.

I say the words the best I can in hope it would work. The rest of my magic will not work, this may not work either. I'm very weak and they still have whatever spell they have on me.

With my surprise I watch as the Great Dragon comes into view and lands in front of us. At first he didn't seem to notice much but it didn't take him long.

"What have you done to Merlin?" he demanded at once.

"He will be alright once you do what we need you to do," says Ian.

"Which is?" he glares at them before looking at me strangely.

"We need this sword forged in a dragons breathe so I can kill Morgana," he sneers.

"I see the logic but yet Merlin you are being forced?"

"Something like that," I whisper to him, "I'll be alright don't worry about me. Just do what they need," I tell him softly.

"If you are sure Merlin but if I do this you do know that such a powerful sword in the wrong hands," he begins.

"I know...I have no choice. They have me under a spell, I'm weak. I don't know how summoning you worked," I whispers.

"You are a Dragon Lord. No matter how weak you are Merlin you will find the strength to summon me. I will do as is asks, Merlin but you better make sure he is treated quickly or I will hunt you down and kill both of you," says the Great Dragon.

They both seemed to gather he wasn't lying. Jordon pulls out his sword and puts in front of the Great Dragon making it float.

I watch as the Great Dragon makes the sword like Excalibur. Its look slightly different it being a different to the sword I had used before however this could easily be Excalibur's double. Jordon took it once it had cooled down enough and smiled.

"Thank you very much. Lets go get you some food and water then you can rest with out the chains," says Jordon.

"Thanks," I managed at a whisper.

The Great Dragon looked at me softly before he soared up into the sky and vanishes from sight. I would be seeing him very soon, I can be certain of that.
