Merlin's POV (First POV)

I stood next to Lancelot in the throne room, Arthur looking upon Alan, Carl and Ann on there knees in front of him.

"I am sorry for this but for now you three are all suspects in the attempted murder on my fathers life. Why will you not tell us anything?" Arthur questions.

Lancelot looks to me strangely. I've never much liked Alan and Carl and Ann always seemed like she is always being controlled by her father and brother but yet I don't think they would do such a thing. Why and if they were with him...how could they not think about how suspicious it seems. No something is wrong here and I think they all seem a bit worried or scared even.

"Arthur may I ask them a couple questions?"

Arthur looked up at me sitting on the throne seat and nods to me, "Sure go for it Merlin," he smiles leaning back in his chair.

I walk closer to them and look down at them before I offer my hand and help them all to there feet. "You do know if you are scared we can protect you. Do you have any idea what happened?" I ask them.

Carl and Alan said nothing just looking at me oddly but Ann stirred for a second looking at me before speaking, "We don't know much but all we do know is no one is safe," she spoke so softly I could barely hear her.

I step closer to her, "So you three are in danger?" I ask.

"Not just us...many but most importantly," she goes to continue but something suddenly irrupted through the room, some strong force making the floor shake and I try grab onto something to stop myself falling but didn't make the pillar in time falling to the ground hardly.

"What was that!" Arthur demands angry and confused at the same time.

I see Lancelot struggling to his feet raising his sword, "Felt like an earthquake."

"It was not," I say quickly.

"What was it then?" Arthur asks.

"Magic and someone strong. Ann what was you about to say. You must tell us...Ann," I look around the room but can't see her anywhere. Carl and Alan are on the ground out cold they had taken both a heavy blow to the head from some of the rubble that had fallen.

"She has gone," says Lancelot looking at me wearily.

"I know...no quiescence. Arthur something strong is at work here," I tell him going over to him to check he is alright.

"I'm fine Merlin. What should we do?" he asks me confused.

"I'm not sure yet Arthur but we will figure it out," I say trying to make him feel a little less useless right now. I can't help but feel useless right now.

We need to figure out what is happening before its too late. Who is in danger and what do they want?

Unknown POV (Girl POV)

I slam my hand against the table frustrated with myself. I had him...right there and I let that old fool let me be scared. Why was I so scared? He is old...Gaius is not any threat to me.

I can be just an idiot sometimes. I have to act fast or it will be too late but yet the moment I saw Merlin I knew him to not be what people have said he is. Something is different, completely different to how they made him out to be.

I am confused on what to do but yet I do not want to be beaten to nearly death so I have no choice to but to kill him now before I'm the one that ends up dead. Now or never!
