The gates of Seoul Royal University opened at exactly eight in the morning.

Luxury cars lined the entrance.

Students dressed in designer clothes walked across the enormous campus, laughing and talking as if the university belonged to them.

For most students, this place was a dream.

For Kim Seokjin, it was a miracle.

Jin stood outside the main gate, holding the straps of his worn backpack tightly.

He looked up at the enormous university building.

"Okay, Jin..." he whispered to himself. "You got the scholarship. You got in. Now just survive."

"Talking to yourself already?"

Jin turned around.

A familiar face was standing behind him.

"Jimin!"

Park Jimin smiled and pulled Jin into a hug.

"Finally! I thought you were going to get lost before your first class."

Jin laughed softly.

"I almost did. This place is huge."

Jimin looked around dramatically.

"That's because rich people apparently need enough space to feel important."

Jin covered his mouth, trying not to laugh.

"Don't say that too loudly."

"Why? Who's going to hear me?"

Jimin pointed toward the line of expensive cars.

"Those people?"

Jin nodded.

"Exactly."

Neither of them noticed the black luxury car that had just stopped near the university entrance.

The back door opened.

A tall man stepped out.

Kim Taehyung.

The campus immediately seemed to notice him.

Whispers spread among the students.

"Taehyung is here."

"Kim Taehyung..."

"His family donated another building last year, right?"

"His father practically owns this university."

Taehyung adjusted his jacket and looked completely uninterested.

Beside him stood his friend, Kim Namjoon.

Namjoon glanced at the crowd.

"You're already famous this morning."

Taehyung rolled his eyes.

"They're always like this."

"That's what happens when your family funds half the university."

Taehyung gave him a look.

"Don't remind me."

At that exact moment, Taehyung's eyes landed on someone across the entrance.

A boy with dark hair.

A simple white shirt.

Old sneakers.

A worn backpack.
