Character Sketch

Dr. Ishita Mukherjee (25 years): A dedicated, slightly protective older sister working as a doctor in Bangalore. She tries to maintain a mature exterior but easily melts and gets teased when it comes to her younger sister.

Aarohi Kapoor (23 years): A playful, sharp witted, and unapologetically dramatic younger sister living in Kolkata. She is a smooth talker who knows exactly how to charm people and twist her sister around her little finger.

Happy Readinggg!

It was a suffocatingly humid afternoon in June. Aarohi had just finished updating her passbook at the bank. The air conditioning was practically non existent, and a heavy frown was plastered across her face as she shoved the book into her bag.

Just then, her phone buzzed to life. The screen lit up with a familiar name: "Ishiiiiiii"

Instantly, the heat induced frown vanished, replaced by a mischievous smirk. She swiped to answer, but before her sister could speak, Aarohi cut in.

"Ek second diii," she said, quickly pulling her earpods out of her ears and disconnecting them from her phone.

Once the device was pressed directly to her ear, she leaned back, "hann dii?"

"Hata liya earpods?" Ishita asked, trying to start the conversation with her usual calm, doctor like tone.

Aarohi's smirk only grew wider. She knew exactly what was coming, it was about her lunch.

"Haanji, aapko kaise pata?" she teased, her voice dripping with innocence.

"Tch, ofc I know you, Aaru," Ishita chuckled over the line, "duniya se ulta jo chalti ho!"

Aarohi gasped dramatically, crossing her arms in the middle of the bank lobby, "ekdum seedha seedha chalti hu mai! kuch bhi bolte ho aap!"

"Achha? Ulta hi toh chalti ho," Ishita pointed out, a clear smile in her voice, "Log call aane pe earpods connect karte hai, tum disconnect karti ho, Logic kahan hai?"

"Tch! Toh aapko voice clearly nahi aati na phir," Aarohi grumbled, defending herself, "Baakiyo ke saath connect karke hi baat karti hu mai, sirf aapke liye hataya!"

"Acha ab muh mat sadao," Ishita said, quickly trying to pacify her dramatic little sister.

"Nahi sada rahe!" Aarohi shot back, even though she was actively rolling her eyes at the empty space in front of her.

Turning toward the exit, she spotted someone and smiled, "Thankyouuuu!" she called out warmly.

Ishita blinked on the other end of the line, completely lost, "Hein? Kis liye? Tumhe jhelne ke liye?", she chuckled.

Aarohi scoffed loudly, "Ekk toh, jhelne ke liye kyu bolungi mai? Adhikar hai vo humara! Aur dusra, mai guard uncle ko thankyou bol rahi thi"

"Ohh, Kyu? Kya kiya unhone?"
