I've lived.

As death lurks near,
Upon my night:
I am old as I am wise.
With tastes so bittersweet,
I have lived my twisted life.

With no more yet to come,
Change is of indifference.
Wonder lost to those anew
As times already held me,
In its arms.

I've wept before my waiting fate.
With truth well known to me.
Experience well passed and
Music well listened among
Those worth knowing.

I've tasted from the garden of Eden.
I've loved as well as lost.
With nothing worth living,
I've given up with no abode.
I've given in.

I'm not sad for:
I have lived.
