The air in the living room was thick with caffeine, panic, and the smell of half-eaten takeout. On the coffee table, a setup of four laptops, two tablets, and three smartphones formed a makeshift command center.
Mina, sitting in the center of the chaos, tapped her pen against her chin with the rhythm of a ticking bomb. "Three minutes until the drop. I want absolute silence. If the browser lags, clear your cache immediately. Do not—I repeat, do not—refresh if you get into the queue. You will lose your spot."
Sienna adjusted her glasses, her eyes scanning her own screen. She was the only one who looked like she was conducting a corporate merger rather than trying to buy concert tickets. "I've got the VPN active on all devices. If this server-side traffic spikes, we'll at least be routed through a less congested region."
"I just want to see Yunho's height in person," Elara whispered, clutching a sketchbook to her chest. She was pacing the small rug, her curly honey-blonde hair bouncing with every step. "It's been two years since the last tour—my heart is actually vibrating. Is that normal?"
Romy, who had been stretching in the corner of the room to burn off nervous energy, stopped mid-lunge. "It's not just normal, it's necessary for survival. I need to see if Seonghwa's stage presence is as lethal in 4K as it is on my phone screen."
"One minute," Mina announced, her voice dropping into professional-mode intensity. "Ready. Set. Click."
Total silence descended on the apartment, broken only by the frantic clicking of trackpads.             Then, the collective groan began.
"Queue position: 42,000," Romy shouted, throwing her head back. "How? How are there 42,000 people ahead of me when I started clicking the second the button appeared?"
"My browser just crashed," Elara said, her emerald eyes wide with genuine distress. "The screen went white! It's gone! The white void has claimed my destiny!"
"Don't panic!" Sienna said, though her own jaw was clenched. "I'm in, but the seats are disappearing in real-time. I have two sections available, but they're G-tier."
"G-tier is nosebleed territory!" Mina yelled, her organizational cool starting to crack. She frantically tapped her tablet. "I'm in the queue! Oh god, it just jumped to 100,000. Did the site just restart?"
Suddenly, the site gave a collective stutter. A red banner splashed across all four screens: TECHNICAL ERROR: TRY AGAIN LATER.
"No, no, no!" Romy scrambled to her feet, pacing. "This is a sign. We aren't meant to go. After waiting three long years since the last tour announcement, the universe is telling me to retire my dancing shoes."
"Shut up, Romy, the universe isn't a Ticketmaster admin," Mina snapped, sweating as she tried to force a refresh on the main terminal. "Sienna, are you still in?"
Sienna's face was inches from her screen, her golden-brown eyes reflecting the loading icon. "I have a cart with four seats... they're front row, but the transaction button is greyed out. It's not clicking."
"Mash it!" Elara cried out, abandoning her pacing to hover over Sienna's shoulder. "Click it with the power of our collective bias!"
For ten agonizing seconds, the only sound was the frantic tapping of nails against plastic.           Mina held her breath, watching the progress bar. Just as the site began to error out again, the grey button turned bright, vibrant blue.
Sienna slammed her finger down.
A confirmation page appeared. ORDER SUCCESSFUL.
For a heartbeat, there was silence. Then, a shriek tore through the apartment that was loud enough to trigger a neighbor's complaint.
"FRONT ROW!" Mina screamed, falling backward onto the sofa. "We are literally going to be close enough to count their eyelashes!"
Elara collapsed onto the floor, clutching her chest, a manic, happy laugh escaping her. Romy did a literal cartwheel across the living room, nearly taking out a lamp.
"I have secured the goods," Sienna said, leaning back and finally exhaling. She looked at her three best friends, who were currently a pile of limbs and screaming, and allowed herself a small, triumphant smile. "But if I hear one more word about 'manifesting' for the next week, I'm taking your credit cards away."
"Whatever you say, mom," Romy chirped, already pulling up the Ateez setlist on her phone. "We're going to see them. After three years of waiting, we're finally stepping into our In Your Fantasy era for real."
