Title: Jenson
Season: One
Episode: One
INT. LOBBY – MID-AFTERNOON
Jenson sits in a chair, nervous. He waits until the door opens. Ms.Tarnish walks out, smiling.
MS. TARNISH
Mr. Williams?
JENSON
I'd prefer Jenson, if that's okay.
MS. TARNISH
Of course. Are you ready to get started?
JENSON
As ready as I'll ever be.
INT. THERAPIST'S OFFICE – CONTINUOUS
They both walk in. It's a therapy office. Jenson sits on the couch. Ms. Tarnish walks to her desk. The door remains open.
MS. TARNISH
How are you today?
JENSON
I'm alright.
Ms. Tarnish, notebook in hand, moves to a chair across from Jenson. He looks increasingly anxious.
JENSON
Would you mind if we just skip all the pleasantries and get to the reason I'm here?
Ms. Tarnish politely nods.
MS. TARNISH
If that is what you wish.
JENSON
I was told he would tell you the situation?
MS. TARNISH
Yes, he did. However, I would like to hear about it from your side of the story.
Jenson takes a deep breath.
JENSON
Okay. For starters, I know how it sounds. I know I sound like another psycho. Then again, that's what they all say, don't they?
But I can promise you I know what I saw.
I guess it started at the store...
INT. STORE – DAY (FLASHBACK)
Jenson walks down an aisle.
JENSON (V.O.)
I was shopping and then—
A woman, wearing a face mask, keeps glancing at him. Jenson waves, but she only stares. Jenson, confused, leaves the aisle.
JENSON (V.O.)
I didn't think too much into it. I just left and went home. I didn't—
The woman watches him leave.
MS. TARNISH (V.O.)
It's okay, take your time.
JENSON (V.O.)
I didn't think I'd keep seeing her.
INT. INSIDE CAR – EVENING
Jenson drives. He sees the woman standing on the sidewalk, watching him.
JENSON (V.O.)
I didn't think they'd be standing on the sidewalk.
EXT. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – DAY
Jenson, parked, waits for his kids. He sees the woman sitting on a swing, staring.
JENSON (V.O.)
Or sitting on the swing while I picked up my kids.
EXT. OUTSIDE BEST BUY – DAY
Jenson walks into the building. The woman watches him from a distance.
JENSON (V.O.)
Or while I'm heading into work.
INT. BEST BUY – SECURITY OFFICE – NIGHT
Jenson watches the security monitors. The woman looks directly at a camera.
JENSON (V.O.)
Or looking straight at the cameras during my shifts!
Jenson calls the cops.
JENSON (V.O.)
I tried calling the cops but—
The cops join him. He rewinds the footage: she's not there.
JENSON (V.O.)
But nothing showed up on camera. It was like she was never there.
The cops said they'd keep an eye out, but they were probably just being nice.
INT. JENSON'S HOUSE – NIGHT
Jenson lays in bed, nervous. He turns and sees the woman at the foot of the bed. Quickly, he flips on a lamp—she's gone.
JENSON (V.O.)
But then she started making it inside the house.
Jenson grabs a gun from his drawer. He moves through the darkened hallway.
JENSON
Where are you? WHERE ARE YOU?!
EXT. OUTSIDE JENSON'S HOUSE – NIGHT
Jenson talks to two cops.
JENSON (V.O.)
I called the cops again.
One cop, annoyed, returns to the patrol car. The other hands Jenson a business card: "Ms. Tarnish – Therapy."
JENSON (V.O.)
You could tell they weren't taking me seriously.
But one of them recommended you. Said you specialize in this type of thing.
COP 2
I'll let her know your situation.
INT. THERAPIST'S OFFICE – PRESENT
Back to Jenson and Ms. Tarnish. Jenson paces, agitated.
JENSON
I just don't understand how.
C-could I possibly be seeing ghosts?!
And if I am... why?
Jenson continues pacing.
JENSON
Did I do something wrong? Is there something I'm being haunted for?
I just don't understand why she keeps following me!
Now that I think about it, this is the first time in months I haven't seen her. For now at least, huh?
I bet the second I walk back outside, she'll be there.
It's like she follows me EVERYWHERE and I just—
Jenson stops and looks at Ms. Tarnish.
JENSON
You think I'm crazy, don't you?
Saying it out loud...
I wouldn't blame you.
