Hello, and welcome to one of my firsts (hopefully!) horror short stories.
The Keeping is heavily inspired by Ray Bradbury, who is an amazing short story author of what I guess I would describe as lingering horror, though correct me if you find a better term.
In my English class, we read over many of his works, like The Veldt and Dark They Were And Golden Eyed, some of my most favorite readings in that class.
So, I decided that I would experiment a bit and try to write my own story in his style, which I hopefully did justice to.
