Lucy's pov)

Today was meant to be a normal day on patrol, or so I thought. Although my routine was the same, there is just this weird feeling that is accumulating at the day progresses. Tim thinks it's nothing. Angela and Nyla thinks Celina rubbed off too much on me, but the more I think, the more the feeling grows.
Putting my feeling aside, I was able to get through roll call with ease. Being roving sergeant is AMAZING. I was able to brush through a minor dispute at a park, a domestic call, and a "break in" which was two idiots trying to prank each other. If today is so normal, why is my intuition telling me otherwise.

Only a few more hours before lunch, nothing out of the ordinary... just patrol. It's actually draining how boring today is. Until I get a call. "Chen, who's here?" I ask, clearly not paying attention. "Lucy tell Tim to answer I need help." I hear a rushed and whispered voice on the other end. Whoever was calling knew me and needed help asap. "Yes! I can do that" I'm already ringing Tim using my work phone. I never use my work phone.
"Lucy? What's going on?" He asked urgently.
"It's Tamara. Meet me at 1890 Pico and Arlington, no sirens guns drawn" I reply, making sure to be quiet for tam on the other end. So much for a quiet shift. Eventually I do get to asking her what is going on so that I can know what I am getting into by the time I get there.
"Someone is here. Breaking into the house and robbing it. My gun hand is free except I don't have a gun and they do." She explains, clearly this was targeted since she also added the fact that they called her by name multiple times. "I'm almost there, just hold on and stay hidden" I instruct her. Hopefully she is safe and after this I am definitely going to train her for a firearm. As I'm pulling up, I notice the door is open. Great. Just great. In the back I can hear voices. One? Maybe two? Where the hell is my backup!
