Edit: Okay many keep pointing out how it's possible for kaneki to get drunk and I forgot to say that he's not even a ghoul here...

At first it was like a tiny fantasy joke I found one night but it led to me having to make this book...

The evidence is the picture I stuck to this chapter XD

Its almost midnight and you still can't sleep. You roll around to find a comfortable spot but fail everytime. A small groan escapes your lips as boredom fills your mind, you tried using your phone but it died and the charger is across the room.

Ten minutes pass and you start to remember the day you moved in this nice apartment.

"You're moving in HERE?!" Touka exclaims.

You drop a couple of bags by the door and jump in excitement, "Yes! Isn't it great!?"

Touka runs up to you and puts her hands on her head, "No it is not great! This isn't great at all!" She looks at you as you make a sad expression, "I mean... well... its great you're moving in... who let you live here?"

You decided to let it go and answer her question. "Actually this isn't a permanent thing, I'm here to pay off a debt."

Touka face palms, "Did you borrow money you can't give back?"

Your face heats up with embarrassment, "uh-No! Well not entirely..." You look at the floor rubbing your arm, "I borrowed money, yes, but I was allowed to live here until I could make up some more money for a new apartment."

"I only have one person in mind who's dumb enough to let you live here...." she slowly turns to the only one wearing a white eye patch and scowls.

You laugh, not caring if it was a bad idea or not. You worked so hard that day it got you sore for a week.

Its been a whole month since you've moved in and worked at this little place. One more week and you could move out to the apartment you planned on moving in. Without even knowing it, you've developed feelings for Kaneki, not a friend kind of feeling but a loving feeling. You sigh and turn over to face the wall, silence fills the room until the door slowly creaks open. Fear fills your body and you stiffen up, unable to move you stay quiet. Hearing a grumble and a creak from your bed, the figure behind you lays down and wraps its arms around your small waist.

"(F/N)..." Your eyes widen. It was Kaneki, but why was he here? He scoots closer to your body and you could smell the alcohol from his breath. He's drunk, now it makes sense... "I wish I could tell you my feelings..." he pauses and rests his head on your neck, your face heats up but stay quiet. "Whenever i'm near you, my stomach gets in knots... and when you smile at me, my heart races... what i'm trying to say is..." another pause, "I love you..."

Without thinking you whisper under your breath, "I love you, too..." Soon you easily dose off with him cuddling with you the rest of the night.

This was just a warm up chapter so yeah its short sorry ;-;
