Chapter 8

I woke up to Foxie standing over me yelling "WAKE UP!"

"im awake" i said sitting up and rubbing my eyes, it was light outside and the scenery look from out the window was pretty.

"come on we don't have all day, we need to get in two battles before noon" Foxie said looking wide awake.

"What about breakfast?" I asked

"Well ReBecca dosent give us much food here. She let's it be stolen and doesn't care." Foxie said

"Well you can hunt Foxie, there are animals in the woods and your one of the best hunters I know" Tigress said

"Well if your caught your taken to the Queen and there is that trio you meet before that make it hard to keep your catch" Foxie said with a huff

"We can all go,I want to practice with my bow and I am sure hunting will be fun for all of you." I said

"No " Damon said. With that the girls seemed to want to go all the sudden.

"Come on D, don't be such a caution freak. we can keep the princess safe" Tigress said.

"This is Dangerous, stupid and we have a high chance of getting in trouble," Foxie said weighing the situation on her shoulders. the way she looked when she was thinking i almost thought she was agreeing with Damon "I'm In" she said. I let out a sigh of relief. "What did you think i would agree with him?" Foxie asked pointing at Damon.

"Just for a second" Tigress said. Foxie let out a shudder 

"you will probably never hear me agree with Damon in your nine lives Tigress" Foxie said

"I am right here you know" Damon said

"nope" Tigress said

"Girls" I said letting them know it was time to stop. "Damon i need to practice with...." i started

"I need to keep you safe, your not going" Damon stated.

"i" Foxie started. i looked at her and mouthed 'shut it'

"I will be safe with you, Tigress and Foxie are with me" i said but he didn't seem to waver "oh come on, its not like its a life or death situation, there just animals and i am good with a bow" I huffed

"fine, you get a half an hour" Damon said

"But" Tigress complained

"Tigress be glad its not twenty minuets" I said

"since when did you start sounding like our Mother?" Foxie asked

"since you started acting like kids" I shot back with a smug look

Both Foxie and Tigress mouths dropped open. I started giggling, there faces were priceless.

"You will pay" Foxie said. i started running but i guess when your being chased by a Tiger and  Fox you get out run easily "Got ya" Foxie said

"Ok, OK i take it back" I squealed as Tigress started tickling me.

"Come on Girls, are we going hunting or not?" Damon asked

"oh, look who now wants to go" I said getting up and grabbing my bow as I left the room. Foxie and Tigress said something but i was to far to hear them. they were having a conversation With Damon i think.

When i got outside it was sunny but you couldn't see the sun it was behind the trees which was good because it gives us plenty of time before my duel. i was ready to fight her. but some part of me felt bad, as if i were going to have to kill her. if there was one thing i didn't want to do it was kill someone. i just didn't have it in my gut to kill anyone else. i still felt bad about killing those people on the boat.

"Come on Eadiline" Foxie said running past me

"Its Evilin!" I yelled running after her into the forest. I stop when i entered. i spotted a bunny hopping around. i quietly put my arrow in my bow and pull back. The bunny stopped for a second and i shot hitting the dirt right in front of it. the bunny scampered off. i went and picked up the arrow 

"i don't want to kill anyone" i whispered

"sometimes we need to kill the bad to prevent the good from dying" Damon said coming behind me

"But i know what its like to have someone you love die. i don't want anyone to feel the same" I said and started to cry. i ran to Damon embracing

"your the only family i have left" i whispered through my tears.

"i know" Damon said. when i finished crying Damon told me i didn't have to hunt

"no, i need to learn to kill. i don't want to murder for fun like Foxie or ReBecca but i want to be able to kill those who have done awful things.That is what Foxie has been trying to teach me all along right" I said more like a statement then a question.

"do you want to try to get that deer" Damon whispered "he is hurt and you killing it would be better than it suffering from its injures

I nodded and set my bow. I aimed and fired hitting it in the head. it dropped to the ground dead 

"good job, a nice painless death" Foxie said "now lets work on making your enemy's feel pain as they die" she said

"No. Foxie i'm not killing for fun, and i am not killing for pain. if they die it will be quick and painless" I said "no one should feel pain and suffering as they die"

"your to soft" Foxie said Jumping down from a tree with Tigress

"beats being a monster who has no heart, dosent guilt of killing people weight on you. don't you feel bad for you victims family?" I asked. Foxie didn't snap, she didn't make a sarcastic comment or tell me i was being red

"i do. i have felt bad but i knew that who i killed chose the wrong path. also Being a Hybrid i don't have a family other than the other hybrids. i never thought of their family's" Foxie said

"come on lets go back" Tigress said looking as bad as Foxie.

"Damon, can you get the deer please?" I asked

"k" Damon said and walked to the deer. i started back with Foxie and Tigress

"I am sorry for bringing that up but i don't want to just kill because they are my enemy. i want to try to give them a second chance" I said

"i know. You are smart and i guess kindness isn't always a weakness but you need to be strong also."

"Knock Knock" Genna sang as she walked into the room

"welcome Genna" i greeted with smile "you ready for this match?" i asked pretending that everything was fine and i wasn't scared. Foxie said it would drive her crazy and i would be able to beat her.

"i am" Genna said smirking. i figured she would think that this would be an easy fight.

"good, because i am ready to" I said taking my place across from Genna.
