While I walked home, it had started raining so when I got home, I had to wait outside for the rain to stop because I'm not allowed to trail water into the house. By the time the rain had stopped, I was soaked to the bone. I sat on the front steps and waited until I was dry enough to go inside. I don't know how long it had been but I wasn't as soaked anymore so I knocked and waited for an answer. Soon, the door opened and a rock hit me in the forehead. What's with people today and rocks?

"Oh, it's just you" my mother held a handful of large rocks and a slingshot.

"S-sorry I'm late. I g-g-got caught in the r-rain" I wasn't shaking from the cold of the rain, I was shaking because I felt like I'd done something wrong. But what? She couldn't possibly know that I talked to someone today, could she?

"Backpack, now" she demanded and I obeyed like the scared little dog I am. One day.......just not today. She started searching my backpack for something she wasn't going to find.

"I heard that your report card came home today. Is that true?" She was right.

"Yes ma'am"

"Hand it over" she extended her hand. I reached into my pocket and pulled out an envelope with my name on it. Mother snatched it away from me, opening it impatiently. I was scared because I hadn't even seen my report card. Anything less than an A and I don't get dinner. "Hmm" she shrugged and shoved the paper at me. "You're safe.....for now" I didn't react but inside, I was relieved. One thing I knew was mother didn't hit me unless she had a reason. "Upstairs. We're having guests tonight. If I can make a good impression on these people, I'll get the money I need to keep my company going. So don't embarrass me" she dismissed me and I walked up to my room. I quickly got there and closed the door, leaning against it.

"Why would anyone want to set foot in this hell hole" I quickly noticed a new set of clothes on my bed. Sort of a mock of my school uniform but different. A long-sleeve pink shirt with a red skirt and red tights and brown boots. "Does she really expect me to wear this?" I mumbled to myself. I quickly dressed myself and combed my (h/l), (h/c) hair, changing the bandages over my used to be eye and slipping a pocket knife up my sleeve. I made my way down the stairs. A loud knock came from the door and mother yelled at me from the living room. Which is right next to the door.

"Answer the door (F/n)!"

"Yes ma'am" I quickened my pace and faked a smile as I opened the door. Standing on the other side was some woman dressed in red and Ciel.

Ciel P.O.V
The door opened and I saw that same girl from school on the other side. The bandage over her eye looked fresh and she looked happy. The way she was dressed suggested she was some sort of happy 7 year old.

"Hi! Please come in. Just leave your shoes by the door and I'll take your coats" her voice was just as soft as it was earlier that day as she stepped to the side and my aunt and I walked in, removing our shoes and handing our coats to her. She dashed off down the hall and into a room as a woman came to greet us. I didn't hear anything she said because I was looking around. The room was filled with weapons. Swords on display, a knife collection. Scary. Sort of.

"Ciel" Aunt Angeline bumped my shoulder.

"Yes?" I turned my attention to her and she pointed to the woman before us.

"Thank Miss (L/n) and her daughter for having us" I turned to face both of them.

"Thank you for allowing us into your home" I didn't smile. I'd already smiled once today.
