"So what are we doing today?" Jace asked, popping several bites of bacon into his mouth.
"Why don't we just go ice skating today instead of waiting until after the dance?" Sandra suggests.
"Great idea," Christian nods in agreement, "I'm going to invite Lily Rose."
He grabs some more bacon and leaves the room.
What is wrong with him, yesterday he was acting like he maybe liked me and now he's inviting some girl to our hang out.
"I'm going to invite Zoe ," I say quickly.
Sandra ,Claire and even Jace stare at me with surprise.
"Why would you want to do that?" Claire asks giving me a disgusted look.
"I just think we should give her a chance, you never know how someone really is deep down," I try to reason, "If Christian dated her ,she must've been nice somewhere in there."
Before she can say anything else ,my phone begins to buzz in my back pocket. I quickly check the caller ID to see its my mum.
"What's up?" I ask casually.
"You are what's up," she says, her tone a little angry.
"What's going on?" I ask, stepping out of the kitchen to get some privacy.
Sandra sends me an 'are you okay' look and I nod, waving her off.
"You've been blowing off these appointments for way too long, I'm coming to get you," she says.
"But mum, I'm hanging out with Sandra today and —"
"Cindy Aliyah Browne," She warns.
I sigh, "Fine." And hang up before she can say anything.
I go back into the kitchen and Sandra can immediately tell something is wrong but doesn't push it when I don't give much information,they've got they're secrets too.

"See mum, fine. Can I leave now?" I ask, with an annoyed edge in my tone.
You can't blame me though! I was hanging out with my friends and she randomly calls me and forces me to leave.
"Fine but be safe," she says finally, giving me a hug.
"Yeah whatever," I mumble before exiting the building quickly.
"I love you, this is for you, not me," she says.
"Love you," I mutter.
By the time I get to Sandra's, they're already getting ready to leave for the ice rink and that Lily Rose girl is already there.
I groan and put on a fake smile to avoid any questions as we pile up into two cars — Sandra's and Jace's —as we drive there.
Unfortunately I get put in a car with the devil's spawn and his wife.
And for some weird reason, he just keeps staring at me.
