"Thanks for letting me come over, Derek," You smiled gratefully. "Scott's been really busy with Kira lately, Liam wouldn't know what to do, and there is no way I'm asking Malia for help."

"So I was just your last choice?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

Your eyes widened, "No, not at all! I-I was just—"

"It's okay, [Y/n], I was just kidding. It's not big deal, really," he shrugged.

You watched as his hand reached up to rub the back of his neck like he had always done whenever he was nervous. You furrowed your eyebrows, hesitating on questioning it, but you let the thought go after you remember how closed in Derek was about his feelings.

"I'm just gonna go change into some other clothes," you responded awkwardly.

When you came back, Derek had moved small amount of furniture he had in his loft so the two of you could train.

"Okay, we're gonna start with fighting. What things has Scott gone over with you?"

"Just to block my face really." You shrug. "Oh and to keep my eye on the target."

"Well, let's start there."

"Wait, you're just gonna...fight me?"

"It's the only way to tell where you're ranked really," he breathed out.

"Oh...um..okay, I guess," you answered nervously.

Derek stood in front of you for only a few moments before charging toward you. Out of instinct, you dodged out of his way.

"[Y/n]," Derek sighed, "I hate to inform of this, but if you want me to help you, you're gonna have to fight."

You roll your eyes, "I know, I just wasn't ready."

"Are you ready now?" You briefly hesitated before nodding slowly. "Good."

--

Three hours and twelve, already-healed bruises later, you had somewhat caught on to the idea of fighting.

You had managed to take Derek down once or twice, not counting this moment in which you had him pinned to the ground.

"Aw, come on, Derek," you teased, "Why don't you at least try to get up." It was something you found funny considering he really had been trying to get up for the past two minutes.

You smiled in amusement as Derek begged for you to let him up. "Okay, [Y/n], you can somewhat fight now. Will you please let me up?"

"Hmm, I don't know, I—"

You were cut off by the loft door opening and Scott and Stiles walking in.

"What's going on here?" Stiles smirked.

You blushed slightly and stood up, sticking out your hand to help Derek up.

Scott spoke next, "I see someone finally worked up the nerve to tell [Y/n] he—"

"Scott, shut up or I'll rip your throat out—"

He rolled his eyes, "With your teeth, yeah, I get it."

You furrowed your eyebrows looking between the three boys weirdly until something else caught your attention.

Scott and Stiles were giggling like school girls and we're doing terrible jobs at hiding it. You averted your eyes away from them to see what they were laughing at.

"Oh," you thought as you noticed the rather large bulge in Derek's pants. You bit your lip to hold back laughter.

"Hey," you started in a teasing tone, "Is that from me?" You pointed.

The other two boys burst into a fit of laughter when Derek started blushing, trying his best to hide his "problem".

"Don't worry, Derek," you paused as you walked over to him, "I think it's kinda cute."

And with the end of that sentence you placed a small kids on his cheek.
