AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- hi there -AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

~ very anxious Author-chan.

The mansion was quieter than usual. UK and Germany were discussing the meeting of yesterday, while I tidied the paperwork in the corner of the room.

I tried to pay no mind to them as I sorted the paperwork. I hadn't seen or heard from Russia in almost a day since the meeting. He was adamant about me keeping Maomao out of his room and leaving him alone. I can't blame him, the meeting wasn't exactly delivering good news.

I sighed before I placed the freshly stacked papers down. "I'm going for lunch. I'll be back in 30." I announced aloud for Germany and UK, who just nodded and waved me off.

I walked out of the office and yawned as I stretched my arms up and over my head. "Man, I could go for a chicken and mayo sandwich right now." I sighed to myself before I noticed Russia leaning against the opposite wall.

He had this dead fish look in his eyes as he zoned out on the floor. He seemed awfully tired and stressed, so I took a few steps closer and stood in front of him.

"Yo, Earth to Russiky." I said, snapping my fingers making him look up at me.

"Huh, oh. Hi South." he murmured before I tilted my head at him in question.

"Something the matter?" I asked him before he sighed heavily. "I see, come on. Let's go eat. We'll feel much better after a good meal." I smiled as I pulled him off the wall and pushed him in the direction of the kitchen.

"The kitchen is the opposite way, South." Russia snickered before I rolled my eyes at him.

"We're taking a detour route!" I said, playing along as we walked the long way around towards the kitchen.

Russia shook his head in amusement as we continued. "So, how are you doing right now?" I started, as I glanced up at his face.

He had some heavy eye bags, which made me frown inwardly.

Russia's brows furrowed before he shrugged. "I'm fine, why do you ask?"

"Hmm, I'm just asking. You haven't been talking to the others lately." I hummed softly as we walked through the hall.

"I don't talk to anyone else here, beside our alliance members." Russia smirked as he watched my face, curiously. "Not everyone wants to talk to me and that's just fine by me." Russia said as he relaxed his shoulders while walking.

"Oh, I see now. Well, that's fair." I nodded before he snickered.

"You're not the first person to ask about that, but I'm just fine with my close friends." Russia said before he leaned down to my level.

"Why? Did I make you...worry?" Russia asked slowly as he tilted his head at me.

Why did he have to ask it like that?

My face heated up with how close he was leaning into my personal space. My mouth went a bit dry before I coughed lightly and turned facing forward.

"Nah, what are you talking about? I'm just trying to start conversation while we walk." I coughed out as I turned to look away from his piercing gaze.
