•Riley and Maya are best friends | Farkle and Lucas are best friends
•Maya and Riley are not friends with Lucas and Farkle
•The year is set in 2015
•Farkle still wears turtlenecks (but he will grow out of them later)
•Most of the events that happen in GMW won't matter for this book. This is a fresh start
