There's a theory in life.

Each one of us is connected to our soulmates by a red string.

Many think that all of its fake, a story that parents tell children how they got together, how lovers explain the sparks they feel.

Mingyu has never felt like that. Never. 

Never has he felt sparks. Never has he had the need to explain a relationship. Never has he felt that he's met his soulmate.

Fairytales usually tell us how a couple feel when they first meet. Sparkles, shine, rainbows, glitter, and all of that unicorn nonsense. 

For Mingyu, this was completely different. It started with a friend request.

Mingyu had downloaded Overwatch a long time ago. It was when his company was tragically steeping down and he was about to have a breakdown. 

That was two years ago. He opened once in a while to see the new updates. They had recently launched a collaboration with a K-Pop girl group which he really liked and wasted money on. 

That's all he really did, he never found friend requests. Why would someone want to add a level 5, Bronze 5 noob who had been playing for two years yet always died even though he was playing as Sombra and letting his whole team down. Was that his rage quit? Maybe. 

It was his birthday and his employees refused to allow him in his own company. Why? Because it was his birthday and birthday boys don't work. So now he had a whole twenty-four hours until he could go back to the company. His friends had organised a party at nine that night, so what was he going to do for the next twelve hours?
