Planet Earth collapsed 3 billion years ago. Earth was wiped out from a major solar flare, before the Milky Way galaxy was sucked into a blackhole from the Sun's collapse. During the last few decades before the event, humans were able to master space transport. They created "Loophole Jumps" which allowed for transportation across universes utilizing ripples in time. With this technology, they found a planet inhabitable for Humans. The planet provided air and terrain similarly to Earth. Immediately, government officials worked to construct the city of Nova Haven.
A decade before the Solar Flare, the government started transferring people to the newfound planet in individual space capsules. These space capsules were bunched and loaded onto large space ships. They traveled with the utilization of "Loophole Jumps," and after the total evacuation, only around 300,000 people were able to settle in the city of Nova Haven. Everyone else on Earth perished with the Solar Flare.
Later, the planet was named Synthara. Life on Synthara was calm as long as you stayed in the large walls of Nova Haven. Outside the large bordering cement walls of Nova Haven lied dangerous creatures home to Synthara. Synthara was mainly forest lands, but there were some snowy terrains, along with one main ocean. The environments were on the cooler side, despite the jurassic growth of greenery. At first Synthara, was governed similarly to various democratic styles back on Earth, however this quickly changed when the beasts of Synthara came closer.
It started with the first attack. A giant robotic crab emerged from the main ocean and destroyed the city, yet the city barely survived with their basic military utilities. Upon the first attack, the government was split on how to deal with the situation. Some believed in empowering military and border defenses around the city, while others believed it'd be best to leave the planet in hopes of finding somewhere safer. Around the same time the discovery of Radionyx was discovered in mining sites. Radionyx was a yellow crystal that carried high radiation levels. This radiation energy could be manipulated into a means of reliable and powerful energy sources, such as batteries or power plants.
Ultimately, with the sway of secrecies and politics, the push for Radionyx and military defenses won the debate. The people of Nova Haven created different sectors around the city to work towards growing technology and improving the protection of the city. In the next dozen of centuries, humans fought against the giant robotic beasts of Synthara. In the process they created the military technology of Mecha-bots, which were giant combat robots driven by the strongest drivers in these special military operations. These Mecha-bots were powered by Radionyx, and soon, Radionyx was branched out into the city's main power source. From the separation and growing of powers between sectors, the government decided to create factions, new rules, and policies.
There were 5 factions. The 1st faction was known as "Black and White". In this faction, they were in charge of creating rules and policies for citizens to follow. They also held the most power, since they stood as the city's governing body. To elect rules or policies, they did not need votes from other factions, they just needed agreement among their own faction. They held the highest honor among the 5 factions, and in their presence, it is a given that lowering factions must bow to show respect. They communicate the most with all factions in order to keep the city running properly. The people of this faction are the wealthiest, so they own the largest and luxurious homes of Nova Haven. Only 10% of the population make up this faction.
The 2nd faction was known as "Blue". The people of this faction were technological inventors or engineers. Essentially they're the brains and tech geniuses of the city. Many of them work under tech corporations ran by the people of the "Black and White" faction. They create everyday products, city project blue prints, city border defenses technology, and military technology. A good chunk of these people take part in the healthcare field as well. Some work to improve technology in the field of medicine, but most are doctors or nurses. All doctors and nurses fall into the "Blue" faction, despite not being directly involved with creating or improving technology. These people reach the 2nd highest income bracket, and only 10% of the population makes up this faction.
The 3rd faction was known as "Camo". The people in this faction work for military, security, and border defenses for Nova Haven. This faction is most well known for their Mecha technology sector. It's the second largest sector of the military, but the drivers of the Mecha-bots are seen as the city's hero's, pride, and joy. Their corporations function outside of direct control from the "Black and White" faction. Nonetheless, some sectors of the faction have positioning jobs that umbrella under the "Black and White" faction, such as police enforcement, security guards, or body guards. This faction can have income salaries that can meet the second highest income bracket, but majority sit around the 3rd highest income bracket. Only 10% of the population makes up this faction.
The 4th faction was known as "Green". People of this faction collect life samples of the planet for research or collect natural resources for city use. These people typically aren't in the city as they are required to venture the planet for resources or sample collections. They have the most knowledge and experience of what really lies outside the city's walls. This faction works close with the "Blue" faction, and occasionally the "Black and White" faction. This faction can have income brackets up to the 3rd highest income bracket, but usually settle around the 4th highest income bracket.
The 5th faction was known as "Orange". These people work in the lowest class jobs. Usually most serve as construction workers or utility fixers, but some other jobs include; store workers, hospitality workers, or educators. In this faction, every job usually is an 8-5, and all salaries are the same despite work duties. The people of this faction are expected to work and just return home. There are no exceptions to their pattern of living. This faction has the lowest income bracket, and 50% of the population make up this faction.
For settling into these factions, there was a test and choosing ceremony created and regulated by the "Black and White" faction. At the age of 18, people of the age group were first scheduled a paper test and a simulation. The paper test was to see their IQ levels on basic education, law, landscape, combat, logical problem solving, science, and overall communication preferences. It was 120 multiple choice questions with a time limit of 4 hours. After the paper test, was the simulation test. For the simulation, individuals would be connected to monitors and judged by a member of each faction. The faction members would watch the individual's perspective through a TV screen in the room, while the individual completed tasks with fears unique to themselves. A week later these individuals were sent their test results. Upon receiving their test results, the individuals will make their way to their test resulted factions at the Ceremony. At the Ceremony, all 5 leaders of the factions will be seated at a table facing the choosing age group. As each person's name is called they will go to the faction leader, and the leader will provide a syringe injection to seal the bond between a new member to the faction. The leader will then inject the individual through their inner elbow vein, and they are bonded to the faction from then on.
Outside of the factions there are other basic policies and rules granted upon Nova Haven. These restrictions exist to keep the city in perfect order and to keep the city safe. For starters, everyone is expected in their homes, by the latest, at 10pm. There is a security patrol team that looks over the city and checks to see if anyone is out. Anyone who disobeys this rule will face a penalty. Secondly there are cameras all around the city and inside every home as well. 24/7 surveillance is a necessity for the city and citizens to remain orderly. Thirdly, people can be assigned a life partner at the age of 21. It isn't a requirement, but individuals can apply for it. However, life partners are to not engage in intercourse or romantic relationships. It must purely be a platonic or professional relationship. Purely life partners exist for caretaking over children or paying housing or rent. Romantic relationship aren't banned, but partners are banned from living together. Still, in romantic relationships, intercourse is banned.
Adding to these rules, children aren't procreated by society, but instead, handed to individuals from the "Black and White" faction. Any individual can apply to be a caretaker for a child, and upon completing the form, a baby will be delivered to their doorstep at their set date for delivery expectant. Finally, citizens are expected to stay within their faction locations and key card accesses. They must also stay within the city walls, unless they fall under the "Green" faction. Those who disobey this policy will be sentenced to a death penalty or imprisonment penalty.
**Author Note: I know this is lowkey a lot, but if anything, this is for me to remember lol. Still important that you read it though, so you can understand the setting :)**
