🌙 Chapter One

In this world, love never came quietly. It came in dreams.Soulmates didn't meet by chance—not really. Not on crowded streets or through mutual friends or fate disguised as coincidence. They met when the world went still. When your body rested... and your soul wandered.
That's when you found them.

Some people described it like stepping into another life.Others said it felt like remembering something you never lived but everyone agreed on one thing: When you met your soulmate in your dreams, you knew.

There were rules, though. There were always rules. You could see them. You could touch them.
You could talk for hours that felt like seconds but you could never remember their name when you woke up.

No matter how many times they told you. No matter how desperately you tried to hold onto it. It slipped through your fingers like water.
And the cruelest part?
You always remembered everything else. The way they laughed. The way they looked at you.
The sound of their voice when they said their favorite things to do. Even if you couldn't remember what it was.

Some people never met theirs. Some met them once and never again and some got lucky enough to see them every night.

You were one of the lucky ones.

☕ Seoul — 11:47 PM

The café was finally quiet.

You wiped down the counter slowly, the soft hum of the refrigerator the only sound left in the room. Outside, the city of Seoul still buzzed—neon lights flickering, distant laughter echoing down the street but inside? There was stillness and peace.

Y/N let out a small sigh, stretching your arms over your head. Another long day means another night closer to seeing him.

You didn't know his name no matter how many times he tried to say it. No matter how many times you asked but you knew him.

"Lock up before you fall asleep standing," you muttered to yourself, turning off the last light because you knew the moment you closed your eyes...He'd be there.

Somewhere Between Dreams it always started the same way. A Soft light though no clear source, no shadows.Just a quiet space that felt endless and somehow familiar. Like you had been here a thousand times before because you had.

"You're late."
Your voice carried easily through the still air.

A beat of silence then..

"I'm not late."

You turned, already smiling.

"There's no clock here," he added, walking toward you. "You can't prove that."

"Exactly," you said, crossing your arms. "So I get to decide."

Kim Seokjin stopped a few steps away, shaking his head with a soft laugh.

God, that laugh.

It was the same every time.

Warm, Familiar,Yours...

"You say that every time," he said.

"And you're still late every time," you shot back.

He looked... tired tonight.

Not in a way that worried you but enough that you noticed. His shoulders dropped slightly as he exhaled, eyes softening the moment they landed on you. Like this place.
